George Mason University Top Questions

The worst thing about George Mason University is how not all of the classes you need are available. This is due to the classes being in high demand and other students filling in the slots.

Mason does not have a traditional Greek Row. I believe it lacks the ideal Greek Life experience that other schools have.

Lack of enough housing -- a sitution I have dealt with on more than one occasion. They are in the progress of fixing this though. Parking is another congested aspect of the Fairfax campus.

The degree i chose isnt as in depth as i thought it would be, so im looking at schools that are soley based about my degree

The campus doesn't feel "home-y" at all. There's not much to do on the campus, other than Frat Parties and Ikes (the on campus late night diner). If that's not your scene, you have to reach out and search to find clubs that you are interested in and that work to your schedule.

The campus can be quite large and it can be hard to get to know everyone on campus because of the size of the campus.

The worst thing about this school is that there is nothing to do on the weekends. The movies they provide is great, but other than that, I am completely bored unless I were to go to an alcoholic party. I do not want to attend these on a regular basis, so sometimes I am just stuck in my room.

Housing is very expesive and so is food and conveniences on campus

Nothing. So far, everything has really been great. If there's one thing, the restaurant choices that the school has made is really weird and not to my tastes.
