You should not attend Hampton University if you don’t want to be groomed not only as a student, but as an individual. Hampton University makes a conscience effort to prepare its students for life. Friends at neighboring school wore pajamas to class and didn’t own a suit or tie. As a Hampton University freshman you are required to arrive with a black suit, black shoes and white collared shirt. You are prepared to face a world that has high expectations of you. Hampton requires its students to perform and conduct themselves as the best and brightest.

The type of person who shouldn't attend Hampton University is someone who doesn't smoke or drink. Also a person who doesn't have a lot of money and is independent. Hampton University is for students who party but stay focused.

Hampton University is a school for everyone. Most people feel comfortable at this school. I would say if someone has the intention on going to school to party every night, they might not want to attend. There are social events and parties, however, Hampton University is not a party school.

I feel any person would be able to fit in to our campus life. I have not witnessed anyone discriminating against a person because of who they are. Our school has such a good amount of diversity that it is more than possible for a person to find where they feel they fit in.

A person who is dedicated to their work and takes education very seriously.

Anyone who is not dedicated to receiving the best education that Hampton has to offer. It is a wonderful and challenging school and if you not up for the grasp of such knowledge and achievement then this is not the school for you!

Hampton University is about education and prides itself on the very best students. Do not attend this school if you are not serious about your future and the type of education you recieve. This is a school for highly motivated students who are seeking more than an ordinary education, who are ambitious about helping the world beyond the impossible. Those who just want the college experience should not come unless you plan to make more than an experience from it.

People who do not like to practice professionalism should not attend Hampton University. At Hampton, everything is done in a professional way, whether a student has to give a speech in class or attend a special ceremony. Hampton prepares students for the real world, the professional world. Those people who are not ready for that challenge should not attend the university.

I feel that Hampton is a school for anyone to attend. It is a Historically Black University but there are people of many races and ethnic backgrounds who attend Hampton. If you're a shy person, then Hampton will break you right out of your shell. If you're an outgoing person, you'll blend right in!

The kind of person who should not attend this school is a person who does not have a work ethic. In this school you have to apply and put effort into your grades. If you do not put effort into your grades then the teachers will not force you to put effort into your grades.
