If you want to attend a party school this is not the school for you. if you are a city person this is not the school for you because the Hampton area requires you to drive if you want to really get out in about. Hampton University is surrounded by bridges and water primarily.

An individual who is from a lively city would not like this school. There is not much to do in the town and the school doesn't offer many non-fraternity/sorority events. Most events are alcohol based so students who are not driven by the party scene wouldn't enjoy it. Fashion is stressed way to intensely so individuals who are not big on attire might feel out of place.

I strongly believe that Hampton University is a wonderful school for anyone to attend, but people who prefer to keep to themselves are less likely to enjoy Hampton as well as the rest of us. Hampton is a very small community where almost everyone knows each other. Many class assignments and school activities would also not allow a person who likes to keep to themselves to stay in their comfort zone. This could also be considered a good thing because being put in situations like this could really help a person break out of their comfort zone.

If one requires a much higher level of instruction, or desires to go into a very specialized field of work, he should attend school elsewhere, as COD is a community college.

The kind of people that shouldn't attend Hampton University, are those who are not advocates of hard work and dedication. Hampton University students are bright and promising. People who do not want to use their brains to achieve greatness, do not possess the qualities of an Hampton student. A person who shouldn't attend Hampton University is someone closeminded and lazy when it comes to learning. Also a person who doesn't know how to follow directions, and lacks discipline shouldn't attend Hampton.

It's not a school for artisitc students similar to myself. If you sports like rugby or feild hockey like me, we don't have them here. Nor if the majority of your fiends from high school were caucasian

Those that aren't serious about their studies.

A person that shouldn't attend this school is someone who isn't willing to open their own mind to be changed. This school is very diverse in the fact that students are from all over the country and even some different countries. Also, a student that doesn't want to be challenged to a certain degree or someone that doesn't carry themselves as a respectable young adult.

People that are looking foward to being successful but want to have a good college experience

Someone who is not open to seeing new things definitely shoudln't come to Hampton.

A person looking for an easy way out or even a person who is not open to new ideas. High matience students should not go here they will be very dissapointed. Any one who is not a fan of hard work or creativity should not go here. People who can not stand the rain should definately not ocme here becasue it rains a lot. Predictable people should now come here because there always new surprises here.

anyone with an extreme problem with authority andyone who is closed - minded anyone with no respect for HBCU's their history, purpose and culture anyone with a problem with African-Americans or a probem with being in the minority (if they aren;t black)

A person who likes being in the big city, like Los Angeles, CA should not go here. Also if you like diversity, in terms of race, Hampton is probably not for you.

People looking for a laid-back, carefree, and melo campus should NOT attend this school. It is standard to dress trendy, always look your best, get the best grades, be in the best activities, and there is pressure for some if not many students to be active, popular, and well liked. If you aren't, you really don't enjoy your tenure here.

Any person who lack motivation to do work and who will pose as a problem toward the school and faculty/staff. Another type of person is someone who is prejudice or racial against african americans.

A person with no personal gaols or focus in life, who's parents are forcing them to go to school. These are normally the ones who cause trouble and disrupt class room lectures. Hampton University is a fast pace learning facility and the slackers will be left behind normally within the first year of this University.

Some one that does not like alot of rules.

A closed-minded person. Things will not automatically come to you. You must seek and find things that interest you.

Those who are secure with themselves and willing to put in the work.
