I chose this school mainly on the field I was trying to pursue. And its location. And from the orientation and speaking with people from Johnson & Wales, I learned alot. So I can't say I wish I had known anything more before coming to this school.

That there is little money to be made in the foodservice industry; specifically in my associate's degree of culinary arts. I wish, I had persued an education at a school that was notorious for highly successful graduates in highly lucrative fields. However, I must say that my culinary education is irreplacable and without it, I would likely be seeking it again.

If there was one thing I wish I knew before I attended JWU, I would like to have known how hard it was to deal with the Financial Services department. This is my fourth year attending JWU, and every year I have had some sort of problem with Financial Services, ranging from not receiveing notices about my finances to the Financial Services office actually mis-calculating my tuition statement, and then not notifing me when they realized their mistake!

I wish I had known how out of place I would feel. Being surrounded by people who have good income, and me coming from somewhere where money is valued so much. I often feel like some kids are not as grateful as they should be for the things they have.

Before I came to Johnson & Wales, I wish I had attended an orientation session to get aquainted with the area and maybe even some people. I know the school just began running an orientation program where incoming freshmen are required to attend. I wish I had been able to do that. Also, I wish I had known more about Providence, and Rhode Island in general becuase there is actually so much to do in this small state!

Nothing, I came to this school alone not knowing anyone or anything about it, and I have grown to build the strongest friendships I have ever had, also the classes were very much what I expected and there were no huge surprises for me when I attented this college.
