Kent State University is best known for its May 4 memorial. In the 70's there was a shooting that occured on May 4 and that incident has gotten a lot of national exposer.

The feeling of producing clothes that you made yourself is unbelieveable. Kent State has so many available activities including sports and greek life. The campus is amazing. Once you go to Kent, you will consider it your home.

Kent State is best know for its amazing Architecture program. We rate in the top ten schools in the United States for Architecture. The hole program is designed for the students to take a five year program insted of a seven year program like other schools that offer the same degree.

Kent State is best known unfortunately for the May 4th shooting back in 1970, after that they are known for holding the patent for liquid crystals, even having a building named after it, and a good basketball team.

I don't know what we are best known for, but both of my majors were well known. My degree is in nursing, and at the time of my graduation Kent State had the best bacalaureate program for nursing in the state of Ohio, and one of the best in the nation.
