King’s College-Wilkes-Barre Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about King’s College-Wilkes-Barre? Why?

Evelyn

Expanding quickly. Not enough room in dorms to accomodate new students.

Brittany

The worst part of my school would have to be the party scene because it hinders performance. When the weekend starts on a Thursday night and drunken people are walking by the dormatories at all hours of the night yelling and screaming it tends to make it difficult to fall asleep. For a catholic college the behavior of people does not seem to fit the outlook of the school and in turn reflects badly upon the college.

King's is located near a somewhat dangerous neighborhood. Although the city and school are starting to clean things up and the danger level should change because of this. The only thing to do on weekends seems like partying, so if you don't party, you may be at a loss for things to do sometimes.

The worst thing about my school was the amount of cliques that existed there and the fact that most students went to high school together. In addition, the small size of the school presented limited extracurricular activity opportunities including sport clubs and intramurals. The surrounding area was also pretty limited with activities for students, so house parties were a regular thing which I did not attend due to my disinterest in them.

Matthew

People do not stay here on weekends. Those that do are the ones that party and destroy things on campus. I wish more people were here to enhance the social life and not so much destroy school property.

Kira

The worst thing about my school would probably be it's location. For the growing amount of students that are coming here each year, there seems to be a lot less space than is needed. The fact that King's is located right in the middle of the town of Wilkes-Barre accounts for it's inabilitiy to grow physically. While King's is conducting a numerous amount of projects including a new apartment complex and a new work-out center, unless property off-campus is purchased, there is no way King's will be able to continue to grow.

Rob

In the Freshmen dorms opposite genders are not allowed to stay the night.
