no student would feel out of place at KU. we have many different groups on campus ranging from an active African American group to just the multi-cultural center for all ethnicities to the Christopher House for those who are religious to the GLBTQ [gay, lesbian, bisexual, transexual, questioning] center. If you feel that way, you can find someone else who does, too. All different types of students interact. It's a great friendly place to be.

Classmates are usually nice and easy going, considerate as well because students realize that we are all going through some crazy things.
