Liberty University is know for being the largest evangelical university in the word. It was started by Jerry Falwell in 1971. He wanted to create a school where Christians could could get an education on many levels, and still be able to practice their Christianity. Everyone of my classes starts with prayer, and my Zoology class even starts with a small bible study. This school's mission is for us to become world changers.

Liberty is best known for its friendliness. The Unlikely Disciple is written by Kevin Roose who spent a semester at Liberty. He writes in his book that students at Liberty are the most welcoming group of people, and most students are extremely gracious and caring. We have many high school students that visit and new students each year, and the students at Liberty make you feel right at home. If nothing else, Liberty has some of the most encouraging, nice, and engaging people I have ever met.

Although Liberty is well known because of its many diverse programs, it is best known for its law programs. Regarding law, Liberty is second in the nation; nearly ninety-eight percent of Liberty law students pass the bar exam. The university is also well known for its art programs.

Liberty is best known for the legacy of Dr. Jerry Falwell, who taught the students at his university that when Christians are involved, it should be better. He also taught his students about finding their BHAG - their Big Hairy Audacious Goal - and following that under the guidance of the supreme Creator of the Universe, and the person of Jesus Christ.

There are hard working and dedicated Instructors, advisors in academics, and financial aide counselors that will assist you in becoming an asset student to Liberty University, and productive citizen. The campus provides supportive service for housing and activities.

My school is best known for Jerry Falwell, its founder. He was an awesome man of God and did a lot of things for God and for this nation. He died in May of 2007.
