What do you consider the worst thing about Liberty University? Why?

Nathan

The worst thing about this school is really the same as many college campuses, the students who are here simply to "receive an education." This leads to complacency, and lack of hard work. In reality, these peole need to learn that you do not receive anything, you must take it.

Dina

What I consider the worst about Liberty University is the dress code. Does not allow students to really express themselves through clothes

Jessica

If you live on campus you have to attend convocation three times a week. Which is basically like going to church.

Sarah

I would say the worst thing about this school is it's food, but even that's not bad. For me this school is wonderful all round. There's not much I can think of that's a deffinite bad thing. I said the food is the worst thing, but really that's just the main cafeteria, there are so many other places to eat that have amazing food, and the cafeteria could be much worse.

Nothing

dana

it's in virginia and not new jersey

Jeremy

Just to aspect of too much political talk despite it being a Christian school. I could really careless about it because I came to college to get an education, and since it is Liberty to grow spiritual. I don't need someone telling me how I should vote or to go out there and protest against things like abortion. It is my choice of whether or not I want to do something like that.

Ashley

I think the worst thing I can think of at the moment is the dinner hours to go to the dining hall. Dinner hours is from 5 till 7, and I don't usually like to go to dinner that early.

Jennifer

Liberty University has so much to offer the students of the world and they claim to, regardless of what it costs them, want to accept all who apply. Their noble efforts only end up costing their veteran students more than they accounted for and their new students more than they were told. Education IS priceless, but for its efforts; Liberty is too expensive.

Russel

I haven't come across anything bad except some glitches they hadn't fixed yet.

Susan

I think the worst thing about my school is that they focus more on the fun things instead of the acadmeic things. They put their money into fun things instead of putting it into academic buildings or dorm.

Katelyn

The worst thing about my school would be the Rot. It our dinning hall and although the food is decent, its the same stuff constantly. One can only eat the same things for so long before it tastes bad.

Anna

Liberty University does not have many attributes that I would consider bad. Liberty is stricter than most universities including some rules, but these rules only produce stronger and better students.

David

The administration has not allowed the science department to reach their full potential. The science faculty are more than qualified and more than capable of running an "ivy league" quality biology and chemistry department, but the administration is slow to allow the faculty to do what they need to do financially and academically to do so. Things are beginning to change and the school will get there eventually, but well after I've graduated. My education was still top notch, though.

Samuel

I'm actually transfering to Liberty University for Fall 2010 coming out of an HBCU public school. From my visit to the university, I would say that the worst thing is having to meet curfew all the time. Alot of places shut down around 9pm so there's not much night life in the town itself.

Timothy

It is very hard to come up with anything negative about Liberty but the only thing I would say is that they put too much money into the football program and not enough in other places such as expanding the gym or other facilities that need improvements.

Joshua

The worst thing about my school is dress code. We are required to wear collared shirts or sweaters to class here. This really is not a big deal but so far it's the most annoying aspect of the school. For me, the way I dress is a way to express myself and I also use it to keep myself humble and looking at people with equality. My natural tendancy is to throw on a t-shirt and so it is a slight inconvenience to make sure I am following dress code. However, dress code is only a minor adjustment.

Currently I'm doing Online studies through Liberty University. The worst thing for me personally is that I get no on-campus experience. Due to the Distance Learning Program, it's difficult to identify as a student of the particular school. A few years back I attended a local Community College where I was able to soak up knowledge in person. Despite the assumed and stereotyped "lower education quality" - I firmly believe I learned more there because of the setting than I have so far through my current school.

Caitlyn

The worst thing about my school is how they change the books right before class starts. They change the books like a week if that before class and then give you very little time to order them. They also have special books and dvd lessons to by only through them. I enjoy this school other than the sudden changes all the time.

Kayla

The worst thing I can think of about my school would be the way Liberty does the parking stickers. It changed to a first come first serve basis and not many students knew about this. There ended up being many older students who had to park extrememly far away from their dorms instead of getting closer parking as they had expected. The freshman arrive one week earlier than everyone else so many freshman had prime parking while older students with jobs and internships they had to get to, had to park a good distance away.
