Liberty University Top Questions

The worst thing about Liberty is the rules. There is a curfew, separated dorms, and severe penalties for alcohol possession. These rules may seem unpleasant at first but in reality they are there to maintain a safe, clean and focused learning environment.

The only thing that I have found difficult is not being able to ask questions in person. This is an online format and distance is a small inconvenience but at my age, I don't want to be on campus with all of the young kids.

Some professors are unorganized( mostly men teachers). And some don't post grades.

My experience has been good with my university I don't have any complaints.

The worst part about Liberty University is that you can sometimes get lost in the "Liberty Bubble" and not come to terms with the "real" world outside. There is plenty of talk about the real world, but due to the Liberty Way (rules/guides for student conduct) Liberty is much different from many other colleges and what you will most likely find outsite of college.

The parking freshmen are allowed to have cars and theres not room for them.

The hardest thing about Liberty is finding the best way to get involved. There are a lot of groups and associations and oppurtunities to do things, but it can be difficult to know where you will be the most helpful. I never thought that a school could have too many student groups, but Liberty is trying to reach that goal.

The tuition is a little pricey.

it has a lot of rules but if we didnt have them then there would be no controll by the school.

I honestly can't say there is a bad thing about this school, but if I really have to say something, it would be the size/ population growth and also the academics here. I love the fact that this school allows pretty much anyone to come get a college education, but being a girl who grew up working extremeley hard to get into a good school -I would love to see Liberty become a stronger academic school. What I mean by this is I would love to see if become more competitive.

The worst thing about Liberty University is that it is not as well known as I would like. Many people in the south know of LU, but I wish that it would be better known all around the world.

They are building non-essential attractions to attract newcomers instead of focusing on improving student living.

The size of my school is its biggest disadvantage. Sometimes its hard to get plugged in.

The worst thing about my school is the cost. Every student knows the burden of paying for college. Even though the school does what it can to keep all students attending the university, unfortunately, many students are not able to return after a number of semesters due to cost. While I admit the school does more than one would expect a school to do to ensure students are able to attend and continue to attend, the need is always greater than the help available.

Their are different political views and the school is not diverse at all.

Liberty University is an ultra conservative school which likes to brag that it is more liberally minded than it actually is. The Faculy, Admin, and Staff do not take liberal minded people seriously and disregard the importance of our environment today. Their blindness to their own downfalls is the worst thing about this school.

Perhaps the worst thing about Liberty is that I have graduated already :). Liberty is one of the few institutions in the United States that is growing exponentially in terms of enrollment, endowment, and facilities. Liberty is the most exciting and informative place for evangelical Christians finding themselves in life. I wish I could still be a part of the dynamic and wonderful campus.
