When you go off to college don't be afraid. Don't be afraid of what people think about you. Don't be afraid of those with different viewpoints than you. Don't be afraid to be spontaneous and be social. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. All of these fears only limit you are your potential. You have to be ready to take a chance and take a leap of faith in order to succeed in life. You have no reason to fear failure because the worst thing to happen is you will fall. Falling is only terrifying if you have no one to catch you or help you back up. Therefore, you have no reason to be afraid. You have so many friends and family surrounding you who love and charish you. Most of all you have your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, looking after you the whole way. He is your rock and will never leave you. You are only given what you can handle, and with Him you can handle anything. So listen to my words and take them to heart. Don't be afraid to take a chance and live.

To myself, The future choices that I am about to make are going to change my life. I will grow more in these five years than I did actually growing up. I will learn to help people and how to listen to those in need. In order to do this, I need to change a few things. First, study harder, just because who got by high school does not mean college is the same, and it will require more. Second, prepare for the transition of living on your own. Earning money and paying bills while in college is difficult once you go to two colleges full time and only one job full time. Times will be tough and hard, but when you are on the other side looking back like I am, it is all worth it. Even if I could make those changes, I don't think I would change, for I will/have become a better person through my college years, and still have some more growing to do while I finish my college career. It is an amazing journey and it will fly by, just make sure to enjoy the little things in life. Brandon (2014)

I wouldn't be so scared going in! Everything is so different than I imagined it would be. I expected big, scary upperclassmen and constant stress and it isn't like that at all! I wouldn't worry about trying to make friends, they'll come in time!

Keeo your head in the books and make the most of it. Realize this is an important step in your life that will send you in great directions in life.

Study hard, recive better grades in order to get more grant money. Start looking now for scholarships and internships. Work a job and save money up for stuff you need ect.

One of the most important things I have gained through my experience at Lindsey Wilson are the wonderful friends I have made. I have made friends I know I will have forever! I have also learned a lot about myself and who I want to be, like the fact that my human services and counseling career is exactly what I want to do with my life!

What I have gotten out of my college experience is just be yourself and study. You will make friends naturally and by meeting people in your classes. Why not start or join a study group? You are the only one who will decide how to get what you want out of school and out of life. Yes there is more to college than just studying but if you want more you will have to get out and look for it. Get more involved and speak up more. Be more sociable if you are looking to make friends. And for me, true friends are hard to come by. You will meet alot of people before you meet one genuine one. I really cant tell you what is missing from your life, I guess only you would know. It has been valuable because I have been encouraged to take risks, explore classes and interests, and to truly be open to new opportunities! A friend once told me, make the most of what takes place at college in side and outside the classroom and learn from life its self not just what you are taught. This what I base my life on!

I would tell myself to work and study harder to make better grades so that i could have more opportunities to get accepted to more colleges. Also I would tell myself to ask for more when it was needed because I never liked asking for help to make myself get a better grade because now i ask for help in college and I'm making good grades. The last thing I would say is take advantage of all time you have to make the grades that you want, apply for as many scholarships as you can, and take your work more seriously.

First and far most good grades all year through. The grades are what you need to succeed. Staying focused on my books all year long not only when sports are going on. Education education education is what are generation needs to focus on . Applying myself for the tests and exams.

Visit! Visit every school you are considering. Visit once with parents and once on an overnight visit by yourself. You get a true sense of how things will be when you are there without your parents. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions, like if the school has your major or how the dorms are. But most of all, focus your nervous energy into excitement. College is a big transition, but it can also be a fun one.
