Loyola is unique because as stated in the previous answer, it offers so many opportunities for students to "plug-in" on campus. There is an organization for everybody and if your interests aren't represented, you can start your own organization very easily. Students on this campus come from very diverse socio-economic, religious, ethnic, and racial backgrounds. This creates somewhat of a melting pot and a campus that represents what the world is actually like.

It is a very diverse campus. Also, a lot of emphasis is placed on music and fine arts.

What sets Loyola University apart from other schools I considered was it's size. Because Loyola is such a small campus, class sizes are very small, and you receieve a lot more pesonal attention from your professors. I also really appreciate Loyola's strong adherance to it's Jesuit core values. The Jesuit values help to create more well-rounded and aware individuals.

Loyola New Orleans contains thousands of people who are able to think for themselves. It being a small school, everyone knows everyone and the students are free and comfortable to express themselves in any way they choose whether it be clothing, words, posters, or other artwork. Everyone is very accepting.

Loyola University is unique in that it's such a diverse school, not only in race and ethnicity, but also in the different types of people here. There are musicians, producers, artists, writers, scientists, economists, marketers, etc. The school is also unique in that it doesn't just focus on the development of the student academically, but it also focuses on the entire development of the student--spitirually (while never pushing religion despite the fact it is a Catholic school), academically, and emotionally.

Loyola's small campus sets it apart from other schools. From the very first moment I showed any interest in Loyola, they made sure to keep in touch with me and constantly send me mail. Loyola's small size also ensures that I form a personal relationship with my professors. For example, one professor gave me her cell phone number and told me to call her if I needed anything when I had the flu. Not only do Loyola's professors go above and beyond in the classroom, but they also strive to help students outside the classroom as well.

Loyola differentiates itself from other schools because of it's campus size. The campus is not overwhelmingly large but it is also not so small that you always feel like your in the same place. Everything has it's own place, a place for studying, a place for hanging out, a place for eating, etc. Not being just another student number helps not only to provide a better education but to make it feel like home.

Loyola University has a very warm community feel and the student accepts anybody for who they are.

The most unique thing about Loyola is the family atmosphere I feel here. I feel connected among diverse groups of people and my parents strongly like the way they are treated and spoken to either personally or by telephone. This is very consistent. THe pride that Loyola has is great. I like the way most of us are made to feel proud to be here by the president at athe orientations!

It is very liberal as in there iis a good mixture of people. They're are jocks, hippies, preps, frat boys, sorority girls, musicians, and so much more. It's easy to find your niche and also mingle with people of different backgrounds.
