Missouri Southern State University Top Questions

For younger students just coming out of high school its really hard to be self motivated when you've gone your entire life being in school already. It takes a lot for them to sign themselves up for college right after high school knowing they could be out exploring the world instead. Most of these younger students had some sourt of help with a talent search program and had a scout helping them through the whole process. Once they get to school they are on there own and still need guidance but are forgotten I feel; causing drop outs.

I cannot get Financial Aid anymore, even though I have a GPA of 3.6 and I am the Honors Student.

The walking distance for some classes were across campus.

I also wish that the financial aid process was easier.

The length of time it sometimes takes for registration is the most frustrating thing about MSSU.

Activities. MSSU lacks the ability and possibly the resources to plan fun and interesting activities for college students. All students do on weekends and even weekdays in drink and smoke pot, it is frustrating. I wish there were other things, on campus to do other than play basketball or volleyball, watch movies or go to the library. I also don't like that a lot of the advisors don't know what all the school offers, I got the run around last year on a class that I was trying to clep I ended up paying to take it twice.

The financial aid office has not guided me in any useful direction in regards to obtaining additional scholarships.

I am an online learning student and sometimes I can't get in touch with my professors when I need too.

It seems that there are a lot of limitations for out of state students. I don't think they receive as much scholarship opportunity.
