Find the school that you want to go to not what your parents are anyone else because your going to be there fore the next 4 or more years. Also find the school that will give you the most money because it is really hard now to get a loan.

The adivce i would give to parents and/or students about finding the right college is to make sure they know eactly what they want from the school. See if the school is very effective in whatever major that the parents and/or students are looking for. This is very important cause you dont want a year or two to pass by and then you figure out that you dont want to be in the major your in anymore. Also make sure that whoever they are getting as an advisor to make sure he or she is helpful and that they will work with you so that you can graduate on time. By making the most of the college experience doesnt mean to go to parties and get drunk and have sex with how many different people. What it means is to be creative and use our mind and make ur own fun positively for God created fun which means it was meant to be good. Also not to dwell on the negatives of the school but the positives. I hope my advice has been helpful

My recommendations to any parent and/or student looking for the right college: always visit prospect colleges and acquire lots of information and input in addition to doing personal research.

My advice to parents seeking to find the best college or university for their children would be to try to find out the positives and negatives of schools from students who are doing well academically in the schools that their children are interested in.

With consideration to the choice I made for my university, you have to make the decision based on what is best for the student. My university encompases my spiritual beliefs as well as cultural. it may be a little far away from home, but that is something I was able to cope with. Try to take the students interests in to mind and will make them happy and comfortable where they go to school.

Being a college senior, I have learned that college is what you make of it. Students may go to college because their parents make them go or because they don't know what else to do, but for the students that want to attend college to get a higher education should want to go to a school were they will be happy and focused. There are some party schools that should be excluded when applying simply because it can be very easy to get distracted and off course. Students should research the school and how many students graduate each year with a good career waiting for them. College is too expensive to go "just to go." A student should have the drive to know that this is what they want and this is what they are going to do, and the school that is chosen should fit the needs of that particular student. But whatever school is chosen, it is the students responsibility to not get caught up in all the distractions that can come along with going to college

In finding the right college you as the student first of all have to look at your personality. You have to go to different college campuses and get the feel of campus life. If you feel that the campus life would be too distracting then it would be best not to go to the school. There is also safety to think of when choosing a good college. Though the goal is to branch out on your own and discover new territory as you study... is it important to have a college with a responcive and reliable security team on staff.
