Ohio State University-Main Campus Top Questions

I would definitely say the level of school spirit at my school is the best thing about it. You can yell "O-H!" on any street corner and you will instantly be greeted with dozens of "I-O!" responses in return. Even though I am far away from my family, I never feel out of place or far from home when on campus because of the companionship surrounding me. The people at my school are my family and The Ohio State University is my home away from home.

The school spirit on Ohio State's campus is great. The professors are always accessible by email( for those late-night questions.) Great research facilities and very knowledgable counselors.

At OSU, you really need to be flexible. But you also need to be savvy... here are some tips... 1) at the beginning of the year, take about 10 plastic forks and spoons from the cafeteria, don't feel bad you pay a lot of tuition!! and you'll need them 2) don't leave your socks in the dryer or the boys next door might just thumb-tack them up in their room (and don't even think about forgetting underwear :p ) 3) If somebody acts weird, ignore them. Happens all the time. Someday you might act weird too.

The best thing about OSU is the quality you are getting for your money. Not only is the football team well-known across the country, but the colleges within the University, such as the Fisher College of Business, are highly ranked in the nation. Companies storm in each spring to try to recruit the best employees, which they know will be OSU graduates! So by attending OSU, you secure your future career, you get bragging rights about your football team, and you develop long-lasting relationships with your fellow students and professors!

Diversity

At Ohio State University Main Campus there is a very large, diverse crowd of interesting people who are all excited about our great campus and being together toward a common goal. It's a great place to mewet new people after high school and get the work started toward our loves. There is a true community feeling which encapsulates the traditons of the university with the newness and enthusiasm of being young and doing something that can change our lives and the lives of our generation.

The diversity of the teachers and students. They come from all over the world.

Excellent education for what field I am studying.

The Scholars programs, one of which I am in. I think they're a great way to make such a massive institution smaller and more managable for those of us who come from small schools [my graduating class had 40 students] and it is also an easy way to meet people with very similar interests.

The best thing about my school is the wealth of opportunities that are available because of such a large number of people in a thriving city. My options for future internships, careers, co-ops are expanded because of the connections I have here through teachers, advisors, and business people that frequently visit the campus looking for employees.
