Rowan University Top Questions

I live off campus and it is very hard to find out about things going on on campus. Also I always thought it was difficult to find out about getting involved in clubs unless you knew somebody who was part of the club already.

Basically i like the school, the only bad part is the parking....i have gotten screwed over so many times with parking tickets!!!

Right now, the worst thing about my school would probably be some security issues. My building keeps getting broken into, and it seems like they are doing very little to resolve the problem. Hopefully things will change soon, but it just makes me quite uneasy right now.

The worst aspect of Rowan University is really two things. First, every social event outside of school involves the excessive and abusive use of alcohol. I stopped going to parties after I saw that my first one was exactly how Animal House portrayed it for me. Second, I love the classics. There is something lovely about attending a university, and unfortunately there is only one building on campus that accomplishes that: Bunce Hall. The outside architecture and even inside construction of our buildings is too comtemporary. Our Science building reminds me of the Hospital on House M.D.

Glassboro, the surrounding town is under developed for a college town which does not leave a lot of places to go or things to do especially for people who do not have cars on campus.

Some of the professors are really great when it comes to their content but aren't very good at actually teaching the subject.

The amount of on-campus housing is not that great. I live over two hours away and was put on a waiting list for on-campus housing. There ended up being a spot for me but not with anyone I knew. Therefore, I am not living on campus.
