Saint Cloud State University Top Questions

In my opinion, the worst thing about St. Cloud State University is the involvement. You can meet many great people, but unfortunately no one will bring you together. It is up to the students to learn about each other.

If I had to be picky and chose it would be the lack of options of food on campus. When you live souly off of what the university offers the options get old fast. I would also change the fact that we are not a D1 school in all sports besides hockey. I love football and basketball and wish the events were as rowdy as the D1 schools.

The coursework isn't very rigorous. Many people get high grades, who probably shouldn't.

I personally think that St. Cloud State University is a great school. Although this school has many different ethnicities, I would like there to be more diversity here at St. Cloud State University.

I would have to say the worst thing is that you can get a lot of variance from one professor to the next, you also need to be wary about getting a professor that you can't understand because of the multi-cultural aspect... The other issues I've had mostly have been with administration just not being friendly or helpful. They seem to hate life.

I think the worst thing about SCSU is the weekend life. Most people leave and go home or get so drunk they end up throwing up half the night. So you either come for the education and study your butt off or you come and party your butt off.

Many people are either drinking and/or doing drugs on and off campus, and on campus housing also, but the administratives do not know this.

My school is known to have parties where things can get out of hand, which I do not enjoy.

The worst thing about attending St Cloud State is that the campus is constantly under construction. While it is nice that they are making improvements, it is a challenge getting around. The main parking lot is a half mile from campus, and the Minnesota winters are cold.

The worst thing about St. Cloud State University is their parking. The Public Safetly officers (this year 11/12) are not very nice. I have called them many times and they do not answer my questions and they did not help me at all. When you call for assistance, they take their time to come to you. Sometimes you could be waiting for up to an hour and a half. Though I have had some issues, I believe there is power and strength to make this issue better.

The worst thing about my school is that there is a long ways to walk from class to class and from parking lots to class when the weather is bad.

I honestly don't know. My experience here has been pretty good.

The advising staff is very unorganized.

The professors at my school so far have not been the best. I previously attended the University of Minnesota doing PSEO while in high school and the professors were much better there.

Cold weather climate area, with buildings not connected, like UMD for example. Students have to walk out in fridged cold climates

Teachers do not allow for learning disabilities whatsoever.

I would say that the financial aid office as a whole is the most awful part of Post University. It never fails. There is always a LARGE grpup of freshmen that leave after the first semester. There is definately a group that is told at the very last minute that their financial aid didn't go through or that a loan didn't go through and they have to pay a great deal of money on the spot that neither the student nor the parents have at that time. It's as if this school wants ALL of your money.

The worst thing about my school is the designated smoking areas, I do not like to walk pass those areas because it smells really bad. Also another worst thing about my school is the cafeteria, they have the same food every week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I think my school is really great. So far I love my experience and have always enjoyed being here.
