What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about Spring Arbor University?

Alyssa

Our cross-cultural experience (a required part of graduation). I am going to study abroad in Guatemala for a semester because Spring Arbor University sent an experienced professor down there so we can travel more efficiently and learn more effectively.

Nathan

The relationships that I have built with friends and faculty through classes and extracuricular activities. At Spring Arbor, students form close relationships with their professors. I have professors who schedule meetings with students regularly with the intention of just talking about their day, and how they are doing. It is so great! The friendships that I have made in the time that I have been at SAU will last a lifetime.

All of the professors here are very helpful and get to know students on a personal level. We are not just a number. Spring Arbor is the real thing when it comes to showing God's love. The opportnities to grow as a person are immense.

The things I am most proud of at my school are the phenomenal art program, which is one of the top programs in Michigan, and the quality of the staff here, which is excellent. Both teachers and administrators regularly go the extra mile to help out students with whatever they need, be it financial assistance, help finding a job, or help with coursework.

Sabrina

I really like the small town feeling. The professors are personable and the class sizes are small, which makes it easier to get help and it is also more condusive to learning. Professors can really get to know you on a personal level and can help you in your job aspirations later on.

Higher education has this idea in the back of all of our heads of being overwhelming, and at times it can. But just as anything else in life, when you have the feeling that you're not on your own it becomes a lot less intimidating. Spring Arbor is a place that allows for the individual to shine, and exceed their expectations, while having professors guide you and classmates walk beside you. Whether it's in the arena of academia or the social circles of life, Spring Arbor is a great place to have people journey with you.

Katelynne

The community of friends that are here. I love being surrounded by a community that is God based. I feel comfortable being myself here and I feel like it's easier to get to know people here. With the smaller class sizes you also get to develope close relationships with the professors here.

I brag about the spiritual life of my school. There are so many ways to receive growth in the area of your spiritual life. Also to name another would be how kind the people are here. To describe "people" better I would include the staff and the students. Everyone here at SAU have great compassion and when I chose this school I chose it because it shared my same interest to reach the world.
