The worst thing about the school is the food. The food is not that good, and there is not much variety. Also there is not enough healthy choices in the food menu.

The amount of general education requirements. Those classes tend to have the most unmotivated students in them as opposed to students in upper-level courses designated for declared majors. Also, advisement fails to inform students about how to complete them in the least amount of time possible.

it is dangerous, there have been 9 homicides so far this year in the city of albany. this is fine, however, as long as you remember to travel in groups and be especially careful when out drinking in the city.

The conflicting times for classes in my major, ie, upper level math courses are only offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as are most sciences and some education courses, makes picking classes that i want/need with the right time difficult. Then, most the math professors are foreign and hard to understand at first.

The overall color of the university is grey. The university is the second biggest stone structure in the North east. Theirs no color on this campus and that can get depressing.

It's a very boring looking campus. Everything is the same and it is a little difficult to find your way around as a new student. It also gets very cold here in Albany--it's not for the warm weather fans.

The worst thing about SUNY Albany is probably its loaction in the city. The campus is all grey concrete, with very little green space. There are some nice forrest and park areas within driving distance, but I don't have a car which makes them inaccessable.

Teachers don't seem to care about the students.

It is cold because there are a lot of wind tunnels and it is very dreary in the winter.

Sometimes its hard to access resources when you wnat them but for the most part its a great school

Not enough diversity in the classrooms. When you are a minority, you feel out of place when you don't see enough people who are the same race as you.

too big. it feels like you are in a city when u are on campus. people dont talk to strangers on the street so why would you talk to the person sitting next to you in class

Honestly, I think the worst thing about Albany is the times the campus center and dining halls are open. Sometimes both will be closed at the same time and all that is available are stores where you can use your munch money. If you don't have any munch money however, you have to wait or go off campus for food.
