There's no stereotype of students at my that I know Of

The stereotype of students at my school is that " students at Buffalo State SUNY party to much". Yes this is accurate, but we as students at Buffalo State SUNY know when the partying should end and when its time to focus on academics and earning that degree. When its time for us to focus on academics we perform outstandingly.

The stereotype of the students of SUNY College at Buffalo is that they are very energetic, and outgoing. They like to challenge many goals, not only on an academic level but in social life as well such as making friends even. The school holds many events that is operated and run by, not the school, but the students themselves. It's not only SUNY Buffalo that has jocks, frat kids and stoners; every school has them. I view this not as a deterioration of the school image but builds up the diversity of the people you can meet.

The sterotype of my school varies. We have a huge selection of sorority and frat students, jocks, geeks, and stoners. Majority of the school is greek life and geeks. Some say if you are not involved in greek life, you can't have a
social life. It varies on how the student behaves or which friends he/she meets throughout the school years.

Multicultural for sure. The Main stereotype is that there are a lot of people from asian countries that attend SUNY Buffalo, which is a very accurate statement. About 10{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the students that go to Buffalo are from a foreign country. SUNY Buffalo is also known as a highly regarded acedemic univerisity and a great reasearch institution.

The most common stereotype about UB is that the student population is over 10{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} Asian. Another one is that UB is a smoke-free campus.. yeah right.

There are a variety of "stereotypes" at UB. The main ones that I see on a day to day basis are the Long Island kids, Greek Life, foreign kids, and then everyone else is normal and friendly. No matter where you go you can meet different types of people and make new friends.

The stereotype for University at Buffalo is mainly that it's a diverse school. As students, we can't go anywhere without having at least 3 different cultures in the same room.

It can vary from major to major. For example, as a mechanical and aerospace engineering double major, I'm stereotyped as a bit of a geek, who spends a lot of time in the library, and as somebody who likes to show off how much they've learned. English majors are stereotyped as lazy, somewhat unproductive, and a bit out-of-the-loop when it comes to real-world usability of an english degree. Arts majors are usually associated with being hippies, and in some cases, eccentric.
When all is said and done, there are a lot of geeks at UB, occasionally peppered with social butterflies, jocks, and even a few frat kids here and there.
