Ironically, Temple was not my first choice was I was looking at colleges at a senior in high school. Initially I wanted to go to Temple as maybe a fourth or fifth choice. My dream school at that time was the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in North Carolina where my family is from. However, they rejected me. After that, I still didn't come to Temple. I went to a small school in Bridgeport Connecticut just because they waived my application fee, and ending up transferring to Temple in 2009. Long story short, I'm glad I did. It's a decision I've never regretted. I fell in love with Temple because it reminded me of home. This university is just as big as my high school back in Broooklyn, with so much activity, diversity and life. Also, Temple was close enough but far enough. I was close enough to my family that I can hop on the bus and go home anytime, but far enough that whenever I was tired of visiting I could hop on the bus and come right back. It has definitely been a blessing. Philadelphia is a great city, it's my second home, and I've had the time of my life here. There is nothing like the Temple experience.

I wanted to live in the city. I hate the suburbs. But I also wanted a campus. I didn't want a scattered city school like UARTS. Temple was the perfect fit. I only applied here.

I came here for 2 reasons: I was recruited by the fencing team and I was accepted into the honors program. I love fencing and wanted to fence at a nationally ranked team (we're currently 9th!) I really liked the team and felt I would be comfortable. I also wanted to make sure the college I attended was strong academically so I knew graduating with honors would make me stand out when applying to medical school.

I decided to attend Temple University because I felt welcome. There are so many different facets of life at Temple that it is very easy to find where you fit in. Also, it is just a quick subway trip away from many Philadelphia attractions, from historical Olde City to the sports stadiums.

I decided to go to Temple University because I got accepted into the Dance Program here. It was between here and University of the Arts. I choose here because 1. I wanted the full college experience, be able to go to games, parties, meet different people and you don't get to do these at a conservatory arts school. 2. I wanted to live in a dorm and not be on my own my first year of college. Sometimes you need a little guidance 3. UArts is $15,000 more expensive than Temple for an out of state student, so Temple won that bet. Overall I am glad I picked here and I'm happy to be a Temple Owl

I live in Philadelphia and I decided that I want to go to one of its universities. I applied to five universities in the area. I actually got accepted into all of them. When I went to Temple's Orientation, there was something special that attracted me and made me choose Temple to be the school I would attend. I liked its environment, its welcoming nature, its buildings, its representative students, its facilities, and a lot of other undescribable things.

Temple was my top choice because of its size and the library. I'm a big fan of libraries. Then, I got cold feet because I realized as I spent more time there (orientation and the like...) that Temple is not in a nice area. I cannot emphasize that enough, though. Temple is NOT in a nice area. I eventually decided to go last minute because of the science research program.

Coming from the suburbs, I like that Temple is right in the heart of a big city. It's a different scenery than I'm used to and you can have alot of fun exploring the city. Also I liked how diverse Temple students are. There are students that represent countries from all over the globe. But mostly I chose to come to Temple because it felt right. I visited the school three times and the last time it just felt right, so I came. So don't decide to go to a college just because of the name or where it's located. Choose a college that feel right and where you are most comfortable. That's where you will have the best college experience.

It is an experience like no other. There are a plethora of majors to choose from and you have the city at your fingertips. It is also one of the most diverse campus in the country.

Definitely for the business school, but also because of how much there is to do in the city
