The Univeristy of Texas is a good environment in which the student is able to easily interact with other students. It is unique by the tower that is at the center of the school and the HOOKE'EM HORNS saying with the hand signed.

UT has some of the most prestigious schools in the nation. I chose UT over WASU, Harvard, etc. because it has a really good academic program (mine is Business, but all the schools are ranked) for the price. Tuition is much cheaper than other universities of the same caliber. Additionally, the campus is smaller, so walking around is easy and get downtown. We have some of the best football and extracurricular activities.

Josie

This college has a very unique population of students. We come from all over the country and world. When you take a look at a typical crowd here on campus you cant really put a label on them. These groups dress as differently as night and day, speak many different languages and have extremely different tastes in all sorts of personal choices. The students here like the weird and quirky environment because it makes our lives fun and interesting. There is always something going on within this campus and its always eye catching.

The size allows the university to offera wide range of courses, programs, activities, and points of view. You'd be hard pressed to find a school that offers a Psychology of Sex course in the same building as Conservative Economics course. UT provides so many academic, social, and extracirricular opportunities it's nearly impossible not to find something you will enjoy doing.

Kristen

UT has a lot of spirit and commitment to the school. The school is in the center of a busy and exciting city, so there's always something to do.

Adam

It really does have a diversity across the spectrum: race, age, sexual orientation, non-Texans, non-Americans, everyone. It also has a college-town feel while remaining part of a larger city and contributing to its overall vibe.
