The financial aid. I was not told until I was registered, and in my semester, the program does not allow you to recieve grants, even if you qualify.

The worst thing about my school is that there are not enough announcements to know what is going around on campus.

There is not much to hate about the University of Texas at Tyler, however, the worst thing about the school is the food in the cafeteria. The food itself is great, but sometimes it is just too cold. This is easily resolved by going to either the Chick-fil-a, Subway, or Grillworks that is on campus, or one of the many off campus restraunts located very close to campus.

The worst thing about my school is that it lacks sportsteams such as football and swimming. Being a competitive swimmer for the past ten years, I miss the feeling of belonging in a group and having teammates that share my passion for my favorite sport. I also miss practicing, the racing atmosphere, and the good shape I was once in. I also miss going to a school with a football team. I think football games are very exciting and I always enjoyed attending them when I was in high school.

The worst thing would have to be the city where it is located. Tyler doesn't offer many activities for college age adults.

Financial aid and admissions processing.

I concider the hill the campus is on and how students have to cross Fifth Ave. to get to the science building are what I concider to be the worst thing about the university.

There's only one thing that really discourages me and thats how they treat people in the financial office and the cashiers office. I just think there very rude to the students, and its already a very stressful process trying to get school paid off, the last thing you need is complete rudeness from the ones working behind the desk.

Need more food options.

Somewhat conservative student population. Still adding extra-curricular activities but there aren't a lot because it has only been a 4 year school for about 11-12 years.

Tyler is a dry county which makes it difficult to attain alcohol, but that is not a huge problem. Thats is really the only complaint I have about my school.

The worst thing about my school would be the lack of on-campus job opportunities making it hard for the students who live on campus and do not have a car or any other means of transportation enabling them to find a job off campus.

I am a nursing student and there is not a variety of study areas available throughout the campus. The library is the only study area on campus. Also the dining choices are VERY limited and b/c of this most students end up going off campus to eat. It would save tons of time to have more a variety of dining choices available on campus.
