I think the main stereotypes for Tulane have something to do with the students being rich brats from the East Coast who just care about partying and getting drunk.

We get a lot of attention for being in New Orleans - city of debauchery - so I've heard people say we're just crazy rich drunkards, living in the Crescent city for four years of constant Mardi Gras.

We work hard and play hard. We have a lot of money.

There are a few stereotypes. One is that Tulane students are rich kids from the Northeast who are stuck up do a lot of coke. Another is that we party really hard.

The basic stereotype is a rich, white guy or girl who has more than enough expendable income. Often this stereotype bleeds into using cocaine and other expensive drugs. Also, a stereotype of a Tulane student is that he/she drinks a lot of alcohol.

Most people see Tulane students as rich, materialistic, and self-absorbed.
