UCSD are portrayed in a rather harsh light--the student here are said to be extremely nerdy (or intelligent, depending on your outlook) and very anti-social, prompted by a campus that was specifically designed to be an unsociable. Since UCSD is a research institute, the public thinks that all students are committed to academic excellence and nothing more. Student here are also considered to be the ugliest of all students in the UC System for whatever reason, and I believe we are also referred to as the Weed UC (although it’s strange to beat UCSC in this respect).

The students at UCSD have no social skills or social life. They are mainly geeky, unattractive, Asian, and badly dressed. UCSD is the best science school, especially for pre-medical students. The campus has the best dining hall food and a really religious/conservative atmosphere. There is no sense of unity since there is no football team.
