Someone who isn't comfortable around a lot of Asians.

You shouldn't attend this university if you aren't serious about your future or willing to help others. At UCSD, students are focused on academics and being prepared for the real world. That being said, the school is very challenging and time demanding. If you want to succeed, it helps to form study groups and discuss content. We all perceive information differently, so if you're not accepting of different ideas from your own, you may miss the chance to learn something valuable. Procrastination will also hold you back at UCSD.
Justin
UCSD is a serious school which requires people who takes their studying seriously. UCSD also runs on the quater system which creates 10 week quaters which move extremely fast, and where professors can give midterms from week 2 and on. Those who want a more traditional structured schoo year or have trouble learning at a fast pace, UCSD is not for you. People also looking for a traditional college atmosphere should steer away, becuase UCSD's high acemedic standards and no D1 sports teams, creates a quite atmosphere, where more people are studying on friday and saterday nights than partying.
Rosarlin
If you think this is a party school. You have come to the wrong place.
ThuyLinh
People who cannot easily adapt to new situations and environments, or people who are narrow minded and cannot accept the differences in the views of others.
Sarah
Someone lazy, irresponsible, unmotivated, and more focused on partying than academics will get eaten alive here. UCSD is competitive and serious. There's no room for slackers.
diana
a person that does not like a huge campus with more people than you will ever know
Emily
Probably people who really expect a wild, partying, college life style.
Olivia
Anyone not seriously focused on what goals they want to reproduce in life are not ready for this school.
Grace
A person who is not motivated or willing to do rigourous work should not attend. This school has a strong science department so there are many Pre-Med students. Our school is also fairly big so a student wanting a small class might have a hard time with the class sizes of a couple hundred. The party types would have to go off campus because our campus is usually quiet and all the parties are outside.
Kaisa
A student with high personal motivation and drive would do extremely well here. With the wide variety of clubs and leadership activities to choose from, U.C. San Diego can be a great character building experience if you?re willing to go outside your comfort zone and try something new. Even if you do not feel yourself cut out to be a leader of large groups, joining some of these leadership activities can help you take charge of your own life, and avoid letting pivotal opportunities slip away.

UCSD is an excellent school to attend that takes hard work, dedication, and persoal motvation. Therfore, in order to be successful at the college level, one must set goals that they are willing to strive for. This means, that lazy, unmotivated people unfortuantely should not attend this school due to the fact that they would not be working towards any goals.
Erika
People that don't want to work hard and look for success. Students who are not commited to daily studying and daily reading should not attend this school.
Angelica
Someone who gets lost easily (and doesn't like to be lost) or has no sense of adventure. I was very lost my freshman year and this caused me so much stress I managed to gain the freshman 15 despite all the walking. But by sophomore year I had learned to brace the adventure UCSD had to offer, and the following year I was studying in Tokyo and relishing every minute of life there, a path I might never have considered if I hadn't been a UCSD student.
Zhala
Someone who is more worried about social life than academic excellence. Also If you like small size classes and the semester system, then this school is propably not for you.
James
Th University of California San Diego is a great school without a doubt, but there are some people that just wont enjoy the atmosphere. There is no greek row so the parties are not comparable to other schools such as USC. One of the best things about UCSD is the beaches. If you don't love the beach then it might be hard to love UCSD.
Miao
Those whose financial restraints are too much. There are other schools just as good and much cheaper. If you like small lecture halls and don't mind being in the middle of nowhere, this is the place for you
Taylor
People who are socially minded and enjoy time with friends. People who want tho meet new people and engage in new indeas.
Yvonne
Everyone can attend because UCSD offers a variety of classes and events for everyone.
Stacy
Someone who is looking for a party or social school.
