It is known as being a party school, but you dont have to party all the time. If you dont live on the hill, then you can choose to go to parties, but you can also stay at home and actually get some sleep. It is also known as a good engineering school.

Boulder is a pretty well known school. Most people associate it with partying, sking, and smoking pot, but there is so much more to Boulder than the party scene. The campus and the view that surrounds it is amazing!

Well, my department (Electrical and Computer Engineering) is best known for requiring more lab-time hours during an undergraduate degree than any other ECE department in the nation. The College of Engineering is best known for graduating more NASA astronauts than any other college in the USA. And the University of Colorado, I think, is best known for its beautiful campus and impressive academic record across all disciplines. I hope we have out grown the impression of the 'drinking/riot' school, because thats from the 90s, not now.

CU is well recognized for its engineering programs as well as medicine and artistic pursuits.

The school is known very much for its business program, and many people think of this school as a haippy school because of the 420 on the field every year.
