The people just suck.

The worst part of school is probably the size of most of the classes. Lectures can have upto 300 students, so it is really hard to develop an academic relationship with your professor. So, you have to be willing to take the time to go to office hours and ask for help so your professors know who you are.

A majority of the curriculum is based on traditional ways. I am an agriculture and natural resource student and alot of what we learn about in terms of animal science and horticulter is based on using pesticides and animals for consumption and mass production. I would assume that this would apply to other fields of studie in terms that an alternative view point is often lacking. Though I would say as the years go on, they are becoming a bit more progressive in this sense.

The worst thing about my school is that there is far too much drinking. Every social event revolves around drinking; and not social or casual drinking, but drinking with the goal of getting very drunk. I feel like many students come to the University of Connecticut to drink and party. This is frustrating for me because I chose UCONN because of its impressive academic reputation.

The size is hard to deal with sometimes. Especially when the wind is whipping around and blowing rain/snow in your face during your entire 15 minute walk across campus.

I found it a little difficult to make friends to hang out with ourside of class, only becase we all live in very different directions. In class I could easily talk to people, but being connected with them on a social level with a little more tough.

Is somewhat in the middle of nowhere. There is a lot to do on campus but no very many places to go once you leave the campus.

The worst thing about my school would be the weather.

Not too much around the campus.

Not a lot of transportation for out of state students.

I think UCONN accepts too many students and as a result it is difficult to get the on-campus housing you want, as well as get into classes you want.

It is located in the center of the woods. The only thing in Storrs and its surrounding areas is woods and other schools.

There are a few things that I don't like about my school. First of all, I don't like the harsh winters and the commute to classes. It is far to walk and the winter here in Connecticut is cold. Another thing that I don't like is the large classrooms. I feel like some of the classes are too big creating a distance between students and professors. Lastly I do not like the differences in the dining halls. It does not make sense to have one dining hall to be really good and another one be awful.

There is not alot of support to people in Greek Life. Also alot of kids don't get good academic advising

It's easy to get lost in the shuffle if you let yourself, given how many people are here. One can simply cruise by in their major and never truly experience what is offered, by virtue of intimidation of how much there is and how large the school can be., which is an unfortunate possibility. This applies to both extracurriculers and to interactions with professors and faculty, both of which can be an great asset and inredible experience to be a part of and to work with, and is something many will never utilize.

For me, the worst thing has been the financial aid I received. My family can not contribute much, if anything, to my education and so it all falls on me to pay for. I feel as though I should have received more aid based on my need as well as my merit.

The campus is beautiful but it is large, especialy at 8am.

There aren't enough recreational facilities and the ones they have are too cramped. Also the housing process is bad along with the actual housing buildings, including the dining hall food.

The worst thing about Uconn, to me, is where it's located. It's out in the middle of nowhere, in the country so there's not much going on around Uconn at all. The nearest city is over half an hour away, so the only thing to do pretty much is party on campus.
