The most frustrating thing about this school, for me, is the lack of scholarships for someone like me. My family's income lies just above their financial need standards, and there aren't any scholarships open for second generation Israelis. This has forced me to search elsewhere for scholarships, and has put financial strains on my family. Other schools in the state were offering me up to $10,000, but because I decided to attend the better school, I lost a lot of potential scholarships.

Nothings geeally frustratig just really time consuming
Cecilia
The most frustrating thing about my school is that the University makes it very difficult to be a full-time student and a full-time employee. It's very difficult and stressful to work a full-time job off of campus and keep up with a 14 credit course load.
Kyle
No school is spared when it comes to budget cuts. Students are not given enough financial aid to achieve and are given the run-around by financial aid counselors. The school is too big for the small staff to handle.
sophia
surge of people when fall semester starts again, no parking, long lines, crowded hall ways during peak hours
Alexandra
The overemphasis placed on the importance of greek/fraternity/sorority involvement and the manner in which these groups determine the majoirty of the decisions made in terms of student government.
Jaquelyn
The administration can sometimes be very unhelpful, especially when it comes to advising.

Clearly, the most fustrating issue on campus is the number of students that attend this school. With over 60,000 undergraduates and graduates it becomes nearly impossible to develop a relationship with a professor. Moreover, if you begin to dig yourself a hole academically, it can be nearly impossible to emerge again with the students competiting for your position. There also are not ample research opportunities available for students.

The most frustrating thing about my school is that most of the business classes are online. It is very hard to meet new people in the classroom because most students watch the lectures online or do not watch the lectures at all. You don?t even need to watch the lectures because there is a company located in the city of Gainesville that summarizes all of the lectures for you. It is also frustrating that there are only three classes that separate the different business majors.
Elizabeth
The only thing that I find frustrating at my school, is the fact that some classes have too many students in them.
Kristin
How liberal the students and faculty are.
Deema
The distance between the administration and students

The overemphasis on science and the extreme neglect of the liberal arts/fine arts! Everyone here seems so focused on providing funding for the sciences (and sports) while the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is suffering from millions of dollars in debt. Teachers are cut all the time from the program while more are hired for research/science because the president believes that this strategy will make it a top 10 school.
Ashley
It is hard for clubs and organizations to get private rooms to hold meetings and events in.
Sarama
It can be pretty impersonal at times.

The most frustrating thing about my college is that there isnt enough ideological exchange. I dreamed that I would go to school and I'd discuss issues of morality, religion, politics, and more with my friends and peers. That has not been the case. My school is predominantly conservative. However, there is not a strong encouragement of an open exchange of ideas. I have found it difficult to find friends that are willing to openly discuss and debate ideas.

Academic Advising and Parking/Traffic.
Katherine
The most frustrating thing about my school is that it is extremely competitive in both academics and athletics. This competitiveness sometimes takes away focus on what is truly important (e.g. family and friends) and brings out the worst in people.
Danielle
The most frustrating thing about my school is that the budget cuts are servely affecting the integrity of UF. They have resulted in a brain drain of our brightest professors and thus affecting the quality of education the students are receiving. Elective classes and several language classes have been cut because there is no room in the budget for them.

The most frustrating thing is probably the cops that sit at stop signs to pull over bikers. I mean come on, I'm sure there's better things for you to be doing. It's really discouraging for people that want to ride their bikes but not end up with 150+ dollar tickets.
