University of Louisville Top Questions

Scholarship. And to get away from the cultural monotony that is small town Kentucky, or even suburban Lexington (well, quasi-suburban as Lexington itself is one big suburban-style "city.")

My dad works for the athletic department. It would have been foolish for me to pass up free tuition. Even though my decision was pretty much already made, I knew a lot of kids from my high school that were coming here. I am a huge U of L athletics fan, that also played a big role in my decision to come here.

I found Louisville through swimming, but I ultimately decided to come here for the diverse majors and minors it offered. I was, and still am, undecided, and coming here allowed for me to be able to choose literally anything and get a good education. There are so many different colleges within the university to choose from that I have lots of option (College of Business, School of Music, Education School, School for Social Work, Engineering School, and more).

I can't remember a time that I considered any school other than UofL. I was always just drawn to it. When I did my campus visit, I knew it was a fit for me! I loved how beautiful the campus was, how friendly the people were, and the area!

Unfortunately my video will not upload, argh! I originally chose Louisville mostly for the soccer opportunity. However, the further I researched my major and the opportunities there, the more I realized that it really was going to be a great fit for me. Once I took a few SPAD (Sports Administration) classes, I knew I wanted to double major. The final decision came from knowing that the best sports industry future for me can and will stem from graduating fromn the University of Louisville.

I wanted to stay in Louisville! I love the small city feel. I think it's the perfect size....big enough to have attractions and sports teams (not professional....yet), and small enough to be able to get wherever you need to go in a decent amount of time. No, it isn't a town built around a college, but it is a great place with a city that surrounds the school and supports it well. That, and I got a scholarship. ;-)
