My classmates were intelligent young people with future goals. Many have since attended graduate school, law school or medical school. Others have moved on to being actively involved in the community through teaching, civic engagement and community service organizations.

I pass by hundreds of people every day, and I hardly ever see the same face twice; it is strange, to feel so alone while being surrounded by so many people. My old school was so small that I knew the name of everyone I came in contact with. It was nice to feel part of such a close community. I miss that at Maryland, because it's such a big pond.
