There is no particular 'type' of person that should attend this school. If able, all people should whether they be traditional or non-traditional. It is never too late or a bad idea for anyone to further their education and better themselves as well as their knowledge. With that in mind, a person who shows self-motivation and self-discipline with little avilable time to attend traditional classes may benefit from enrolling at University of Maryland University College.

This school is really multi-cultural so anyone will feel comfortable coming here. A student attending this college should be determined and hard working. It's not a party college and academics are taken very seriously. The programs are very open to young students as well as adult learners and military.

I attend UMUC Europe, as my husband is stationed in the United Kingdom for his work in the US Navy. This school is ideal for someone who is in the service or a military dependent. Most of the courses offered in Harrogate are for distance education, very few are offered face to face. This great for someone who has a job and would like a more flexible schedule, however it should not be taken lightly. Distance education means you must take your studies seriously as there are not as many advantages as in traditional learning, plus they are accelerated courses.
