I have obtained a lot so far from my college experience. I have learned how to work in groups and listen to other's ideas on different subjects, including religion and philosophy. I am a History major hoping to become a librarian. I work with children at a small library called Noyes in Kensington, Maryland and it's very fulfilling work. Attending college has been valuable, not only as a means to get a degree, but as a way to get to know people from different countries and religious backgrounds. I have learned a lot from my college peers. They have influenced me to learn other languages so I can communicate with more people in the world. The courses my school offers are very hands-on. I can apply the skills I've learned in the real world. It's never too late to start getting your education, even when it feels like life is too busy!

By attending college, I have learned what career that I would like to pursue and which subjects that I enjoy best. This has helped me to decide on a career path and even decide what types of clubs or organizations that I wish to attend. I have experienced so many new things in college and learned who my real friends are and the fact that your family and close friends will be there for you no matter what happens. This has been the most remarkable discovery. My family and I have grown much closer since I started college, but the college experience has even helped me to gain a sort of independence that I never knew I had. Before I started college I was very shy and had severe social anxiety, but many of the projects and clubs in school have helped me to break out of my shell and really discover who I am and the person that I want to aspire to.

I have met a lor of amazing future professionals, and I have had the pleasure of having classes with some highly qualified profesionals (the few face to face classes that I took). The experience is great, the campus in something that I still can't believe. The academic ambience there is something that makes you want to continue, and don't stop until you reach your goal.

I am a 31 year old mother of two. My husband is in the USAF and we have been married for 6 years. Our 5 year old daughter is in Kindergarten and our 3 year old is in daycare. Both my husband and I received our Associates Degrees in Business Management in August of 2009. And as of today we are both proceeding on and currently working towards our BA degrees. We are working hard to better our family. We own our own home and love living out in the country here in TX. I currently work two jobs. I have a 30 hr day job as an Office Manager at an insurance agency where I make $8.00 per hour. I recently took on a second job at The Children's Place store working 20 hrs per week at $8.00 per hour. I had high hopes after living in England for the past 4 years that once I came back to the USA with a college degree I would be making sufficient money to pay a mortgage and daycare.
