What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Jessica

I wish I would have known a lot of things one, I wish I knew if I scored higher on my ACT I could get scholarships maybe even a full ride. We were taught we needed a ACT score just to get into school and not pushed to retake to get a higher score. I wish I knew more about school loans and schlorships like this instead of outside loans with high interests rates. Never knew anything different, I am the first one in my family to go to college I wish we had more help and knowledgea about this.

I wish I had known and believed that I really was good enough to get accepted in to a more prestigious school. I wish that through some divine appointment or intervention, the truth of my real worth to colleges had been revealed to me.

Although, school will always be there for you to go back and finish your degree...it gets much harder when you have a family and work full time. I wish I had known how accomodating the University of Memphis is to the non-traditional student. I would have come back to school sooner.

Latrice

I wish I had known that it was totally different from high school. I also wish I had known books wouldb this high. Lol

Courtney

I wish I had known of all the clubs and groups there are to join. Meeting new people is always an exciting experience, so I wish I had done a bit more research so that I could have joined a few clubs and met more people around campus. The campus is so big it's difficult to meet people when you don't belong to a group or club.

Rachel

I wish I would have known more about financial aid opportunities.

Maggie

Roberta

This college pretty must tells you every thing you need to know.......just listen and do as they tell you at orientation.

Angelica

Lauren

I do not necessarily wish I knew this. I just think it is unfortunate. I was an athlete in highschool and it felt good when we were recognized for out efforts. I just simply believe that the U of M has many talents in athletics other than the basketball team, and these teams need to have the opportunity to be in the lime light for a change. I believe this will make the university more diverse and more welcoming to other potential students.
