it's a huge mix. a lot of ppl from miami and the northeast. all races, but majority is white. a lot of rich, snobby, spoiled ppl that may be hard to be around if one is not up to par with them.... everyone dresses up in their trendy clothes and/or skimpy beachwear to class and around campus

Carlos

The Miami student body is as diverse as it is beautiful. It is about 50/50, Miamians and out of towners. There's people from China, Australia, Nigeria, anb mostly every country you can think of. There's also a lot of New Yorkers and California blondes...I love it! Miami is very open to alternative groups (LGBT), and like most college campuses, it tends to lean towards the left. As for the money game...you have it all. Wealthy Jews from the North, the affluent Westerners, the old South gentry, and the questionably wealthy Latinos...but most of us are middle class.

Joe

Hot! The girls here are amazing. Everyday I look around and I'm amazed at how gorgeous they are. I've never felt out of place, but I'm an upper middle class white male, so it's tough for me not to feel in the majority. The culture of Miami is very Hispanic (cuban), but at UM it's not as strong. Students usually wear shorts and T-shirts to class, but when they go out at night, especially to South Beach, they're dressed to the 9's.

monica

most students are friendly and outgoing.....sorority girls arent as accepting and amiable as others but even then theyre ok

Alison

Miami's student body is extremely diverse, so it's impossible for any student to feel out of place here. Most students come from wealthy families, but at least half of the school is on at least a partial scholarship (either merit or need-based). About half of the school is from Florida and the rest are from the other 49 states and many countries from around the world.
