Accept that you're going to take 8am classes if the number of credits you have determines when you can sign up for classes (which it does at UM). As much as it sucks I wish I hadn't stressed so much about getting into a later class during registration times just to end up in an 8am class anyways.

It moves quickly, take every advantage you get.

You need a car to do anything or get anywhere. Have a designer bag for classes if your a girl.

I knew pretty much everything before coming into Miami to be completely honest. I wish i knew more about the school of education before i got accepted but nonetheless, you learn while school goes on. Its absolutely amazing

I wish I would have know the requirements for my major better. I also wish I would have known how to get more involved in school activities before the end of the first semester. You need to be well accquainted with your school of choice and have a plan of action before you get there. College is such culture shock and can be hard even for the most well-rounded students to adjust.
