If there was one thing I could have known before coming to Ole Miss, I wish I had known how hard it was to be to leave my family. I was always excited to go out of state for college, but it had not occured to me how difficult it would be leaving home after each break. I was so excited to be on my own and have the freedom that comes with college, but now I know how hard it is to say goodbye, even if I do love the University I am attending.

Before I came to the University of Mississippi, I didn't know anything. I was the first child in my family to attend college out of state, and to live away from home. There is nothing that I wish I had known before I attended Ole Miss. I'm glad I didn't know what I didn't know, and i'm glad I knew what I did. That is what made the experience, made me learn, and made me grow into who I am today.

Before I came to college I wish I would have known before I came to college is that as much time as you think you have, you actually don't. You start on one assignment and before you know it half of the day is gone, and you still have much more left to finish. Also, sleep is very important...It can be make you or break you.

Looking back I wish I had known the impact of a large public school on the social and academic scene. Personally, I would have rather attended a school that was more focused on classroom agendas insetad of football game weekends. Nevertheless, I believe it is a well rounded campus with many quality people. I suppose I also would have benefitted from knowing the vast cultural difference from the north to the south. Coming from St. Louis my eyes were definetly opened to diverse people and traditions.

That registering for classes is poorly set up and the classes fill way to quickly and there are not enough sections of the important classes required for my degree.
