University of Missouri-Columbia Top Questions

What kind of person should attend University of Missouri-Columbia?

Jason

Mizzou is a big school, by big I mean that there are over 40,000 students, and the campus spreads out very widely. A person should not be intimidated by large groups of people. They should like to meet new people, try new things, and be able to balance a heavy course load with a social life and possibly a job. A person should be outgoing, competitive, smart, and adaptable. Mizzou has everything anyone wants, and provides the tools to make the most of your time there.

Anyone who is at all interested in joining the Greek system would love MU. There are activities almost every night of the week for fraternities and sororities. Also people who do not want to join the Greek system would love this school, but in my opinion, the transition would be easier if they know someone not in the Greek system who already lives off campus. Though this school does have rigorous academics, it is not without a very prevalent social scene, so if your only goal is to study, this school might not be the best for you.

Drew
