The only thing that I wish I had known was more about the locations of building on campus. The school is large and alot to do...if you know where it is.

I transfered to this university after recieving my two year degree from a community college. Because of this I wish I had a better idea of what classes would transfer and which would not. If I had known this ahead of time I could have graduated a semester sooner than I am.
Joseph
That they don't have great food on campus.
Ashley
Nothing, I knew what I neened to know about this school.

I wish that I knew how impossible parking was on this campus, as well as transportation in general. It is really difficult to get from my off campus apartement to campus later on in the day becuase the shuttle stops running around 6 pm.

I wish I would have known how difficult it can be to get around at times without a car. Also, I wish that I would have known how difficult it and time consuming it can be to look for scholarships and find grants that apply to my situation and then apply for those grants and scholarships.
Elyse
that it didnt have a football team and that it was more of a commuter school than anything else.
Julie
I wish I had known more about the dorm rooms so i would know what I could bring with me. I would have also liked to know more about the campus and the classes they offered.

Before coming to UNCC I wish I would have known the surrounding area a little better because Charlotte is such a big city and it can get a little confusing sometimes. I also wish I would have realized how big the campus was and how spread out the buildings are. I took a tour of the school before I attended school here, but it didn't do the school justice. It is a great school, don't get me wrong and I would hightly recommend it to every one of my friends!

It is a huge adjustment to make when you are transferring. The science faculty are definitely not as welcoming as can be in a smaller school. Many of the research faculty require you to have taken their class or have upper-level courses before working with them.
Courtney
I wish that I had known how different college life would be from high school. I know everyone always tells you that they are completely different, but until you experience it, you don't know. If I had known, I would've cherished the days in high school and with my family more instead of just trying to get out. That is like life though, you never truly appreciate what you have until it is gone.

I wish I would have known how different my schedule would be before coming to college. In high school I had the same four classes every day for a semester. In college I have five classes a semester. I attend certain ones on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the others I attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For some reason I thought college would opperate as a high school. It has been great and I have learned a lot from being on my own.
Daniel
I wish I would have known how to manage my time more here at school
Stephanie
I wish that I had known that my last school was going to hold me back. My many financial issues at my last school caused me to stress which made my grades suffer. Now I have these bad grades following me; however, changing to this school has given me the opportunity to start anew and truly portray myself as the great student that I was meant to be.
Daniel
I wish I knew how I could secure a scholarship.
Adrian
One thing that I wished I learned before coming into college are the resources they offer. I never knew about the many services the campus offers. They offer to help you tutor, help with resumes, free health clinic and there are so many clubs and activities to join. There is something to do every weekend so students won?t be bored. If I had known in the beginning about the resources that this campus offered, I would have taken advantage of them earlier.
Oscar
I wish I had known the number of students that went here. There is not enough parking for everyone and the classes fill up very quickly.
Cindy
I am currently attending Central Piedmont Community College. However, I am transfering to the University of North Carolina of Charlotte in the fall of 2010. As of my current school, I wished that I had known more about their different types of programs of study. It would have been very beneficial.

I wish I would have known a little bit more about thte area of Charlotte, NC. Not knowing though makes the college exploration experience all the more worthwhile. I also wish I would have looked a little more at the student to teacher ratios.
Albert
I wish that I would have known how big a challenge it would be to get from one class to another and travel great distances from class to dorm room.
