UNCG has a wide variety of good attributes and some bad ones but I believe one of the best things about this school is the Office of Disability Services (ODS). I have multiple health conditions that although are very unnoticeable still result in me sometimes needing assistance in certain areas. ODS have been very helpful and wonderful advocates during my educational experience. They have wonderful staff, a variety of resources, constantly provide assistance, and support the students with disabilities. One thing I think could use improvement at this school is the level of security provided to the students. Although we do have many useful safety measures on campus there is still a high amount of criminal acts specifically muggings. In my opinion, the total of crime rates in our area would greatly decrease if the school were to have security not just on campus but the surrounding areas such as by Tate St where all the students go to hang out, get lunch, or just to get to class. People usually think that there really is nothing to do in Greensboro as a college student especially when they drive by to see. The thing about Greensboro is you have to know where things are if you don’t of course you will think it’s boring! But once you figure out what’s downtown that you like, you will have things to do all the time. My freshmen year at UNCG I spent most of my time exploring downtown and now I know here things are at. There are always events happening on campus (especially ones with free food), which I definitely love! There is always some way that students can show off their school pride. Overall, I think UNCG is a great school that tries to provide students with whatever they need to help make their experiences at UNCG more memorable.

The best thing about UNCG are the adequate amount of clubs! Me personally is not much of a sports fan or player. So I cling on to all the different clubs that they have for any and everybody, even Harry Potter Fans! I honestly say I would change nothing, well except for the price of parking. We are limited to parking spaces as of now, but I see they are making changes and clearing out space for more students. When I tell people I go to UNCG they look at me as if I am out of place and like I should go to A&T. I don't feel as if I am out of place, and I knew I was home when I first walked onto the campus. I spend most of my time on campus at the EUC. Everybody and they mom be in the EUC. There are food courts, book store, Starbucks, Career Services, and much much more located there. The school administration is the best! Their is always a teacher smiling at you and ready to teach and learn with you. Not only should UNCG be proud of their teachers but we are proud of our entire school as well. You will NEVER go a day without someone wearing their school apparel.

To keep this fairly readable, I'll answer the questions directly as possible. The thing I enjoy most is the fairly calm and laid-back atmosphere that permeates the air across campus. In general academics can be fairly non-intrusive, while at the same time require effort and thinking if you want a good GPA. There's a good mixture of both Type A and Type B personalities that balances nicely in the overall campus. The size of the school is just right in my opinion. Class sizes aren't out of control past the freshmen introductory courses, and since UNCG is known for being a commuter school, the campus is rarely considered crowded. Unfortunately, the school isn't known very well outside of it's fine arts program. It doesn't have the prestige of a UNC-Chapel Hill or Duke. It also doesn't have the connections or career resources that those programs have. For my major, Computer Science, a lot of responsibility falls on you for finding internships and after-college work. The connections aren't made for you, but this can certainly be overcome. I spend most of my time either on Tate Street or in the building my classes are located in. Some students live in their major's building and some spent all of their time in their dorm rooms. It depends on how demanding the major is. Greensboro has five colleges/universities,but I wouldn't actually consider it a college town. Sure lots of students live there, but there's not an youthful atmosphere is Greensboro. It's more geared towards people in their late 20's or 30's looking to settle down. We're currently going through a budget crisis and the current administration seems to be handling things well (or as well as could be expected). They tend not to get too involved in student affairs and most of the decision making is left to middle-managers. This does leave them seeming to be in the dark sometimes, but I prefer that than being overburdened by idealistic academics. Overall I'm very pleased with my experience on campus and do not regret my decision in coming here.

I absolutely love my school! I am an out-of-state student from Philadelphia and although Greensboro is a slower city then I am use too I enjoy every moment spent here! Most of the students here strive for academic excellence while enjoying the college life as much as possible. The students here are also very welcoming, most of the students walk around smiling, dancing, riding their bikes and etc. People always usually react weird when I say I attend this school, simply because I'm from a large city. Although I am overall pleased with the university, the one thing I would change is the schools inability to meet the needs of students; this includes availability of classes, financial aid, and etc.

UNCG is a very good school if you want to primairly focus on education. The fact that we don't have a football team, or the fact the Greensboro is not known as a big "party city" as opposed to Chapel Hill or Greenville, people go here to focus. I personally knew that I wanted to go to a school that didn't have a lot of unnecessary extra activity going on so that I could focus primairly on what I am here to do.

UNCG has a beautiful campus that is currently growing at a rapid pace! We have an amazing dinning hall that puts many restaurants to shame. Our Bryan Business School is currently among the top 10 percent of business schools in the nation! Our professors are some the best not only in the State but country; they are very personal as well as professional. These are just a few things that make my overall opinion of UNCG very good. The only thing that has really ever bothered me about UNCG is it isn't really in a college town. This is probably because we don't have a lot of nationally recognized sports teams for the city of Greensboro to rally behind.

The best thing about the school is the diversity of the student population. You get to meet people from all around the world, from different walks of life and even different generations! None are one in the same. Another awesome thing about UNCG is the educated and well-invested staff. There are times I would change how large the class sizes are so that I could get to know my instructors better, but in my experience I have thoroughly enjoyed my instructors knowledge and insight into the world beyond. Greensboro is largely a college town, because it is mainly populated by many students on the quest for higher education. This is somewhat advantageous because there are always people out on the weekends, places to go and things to do. The only unusual thing about the school is the fact that we do not have a football team, but being within a 2 hour drive from large schools with very popular teams, you can get your football fill on the weekend!

Second, and more important socially, is that there are plenty of places with cheap drinks to hang out after class with your friends. Lastly, you're close to everything if you plan on having your car. If there were one thing i'd like to change about the university, it'd be the park and ride shuttle system. At UNCG, students can pay to park on campus for about $400 or park down the street and take a shuttle for $200. The shuttles leave every 10 minutes from the parking lot near the campus, but there are countless times that 2 or 3 empty buses will leave at the same time. Even when I am approaching the bus so you can probably imagine the frustration when I show up late for class as a result of this. All in all, UNCG is clearly a college town, but just remember where you are if you decide to attend. The city has some places around the campus that you'd be wise to avoid.

I love UNCG! I honestly feel like it is the right place for me and many other students seeking a low key campus to make a new start and focus on school. The campus is beautiful and has lots of history which I adore. The landscaping is always lovely, there are statues and various works of art located everywhere within the campus, and the courtyards are a wonderful place to read and enjoy the scenery. If you like going out to bars and being social, Tate St is located on campus and has a variety of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and unique shops. The school offers many useful yet fun services to the students that are free, such as commuter coffee day, free movie showings on Fridays, resume workshops and more! The Career Services Center always has fun activities going on through out the month that are helpful, informative, fun and all give you an opportunity to win prizes if you attend there functions! Not to mention I love all of the restaurants located in the cafeteria and throughout the campus. UNCG keeps it up to date, and always has healthy options which I love. Its the little things that really bring out the inherent charm of UNCG.

I have a very high opinion of my school. I have been enrolled at two other colleges in NC, NC State and GTCC, and my experience here has been top notch. The single best thing I have found is the faculty. With a few exceptions, they are always willing to go above and beyond to help students out. The size of the school is just right for me, its not so big that no one knows your name but its not so small that it limits your opportunities to find the career path you love. The most popular student complaint you will hear is about on-campus parking. The school has been under constant construction for expanding so therefor alot of our parking lots are in construction zones.

I am very pleased with this school. I am a nursing major here and I know if I get in I am at one of the best nursing schools in North Carolina.

The school has many great attributes such as good infrastructure, academics and resident life. It is not a big school or an Ivy but the professors here strive to give the same level of education. Being a small institute have its own benefits, you are a lot closer to the faculty and a lot of people know each other. Also, you don't get lost and getting to class doesn't take that long if you are living on campus. Yes, there are some drawbacks like the ranking of the school when compared to an Ivy. Not enough academic degrees or range of courses. But UNCG is getting there.

The best thing at UNCG is the suitcase campus. Greensboro is almost in the middle of North Carolina and UNCG's location is close to students homes. I remember my first year here, on weekend nearly the entire freshmen body living on campus would go home for the weekend just because home is very close. Now this is what is best and worst for UNCG. The campus looses its school pride and spirit. UNCG spirit is very low compare to similar universities. Some might say is because we do not have a football team, but that should not be the excuse for not having school spirit. I love UNCG because its not too small or too large, it is just perfect as far as size and what is being offer. All type of student can benefit from choosing here. The business program is top in country, our nursing program is very challenging, and finally our music program can match up with any university in the United States.

Absolutely beautiful campus! That was one of the first things I noticed about UNCG. Secondly the people here really are quite amazing, people are very open minded and friendly to others. Our school's motto is built upon this idea of diversity and I really think that it shows when you walk around campus. People are always willing to give others a helping hand. In regards to education I love our class sizes. You have about a 17:1 student-teacher ratio. Which to me is perfect. That way the instructor is able to meet the needs of all the students ass it leads to great class discussions (no one wants to share their idea with only 8 other students). I have yet to have an awful professors. All of my professors seem very knowledgeable and are eager to help students. The only negative thing is parking! Something seriously needs to be done about the lack of parking!

Amazing school, I honestly can't picture myself anywhere else. Great professors who actually care about their students. Best location ever surrounded by universities and wonderful cities. The school is just right, just enough students! I spend most of my time at the library being productive.

What I love about this school is that it is so diverse! We truly have something for everyone, and I doubt you can come here and not find your niche. And if we don't have something for you, though I doubt it, it is so easy to create a group that we don't already have. You just need you and 5 friends. W also have a very active city just a 10 minute walk away, where you will find an array of theatres, restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. We also have very good shopping centers and a mall that has a variety of stores. This campus is just the right size, because you fell like you are intimate with it and like you have a connection. You get to know so many people, but you also make a great circle of tight friends.

I liked the campus, it is a beautiful place to go to school. I wish there was more parking, but walking everywhere is really a possibility, and there is a lot of housing on and just off of campus. Also there is a really good inter-school transportation system between all of the local colleges/universities, (GTCC, Guilford College, Greensboro College, NC A&T, Bennett College,
