The only thing irritating about my school is the people. I love the dorms, hate the other people in them. i love the education, hate my peers. Maybe i alone am just having a particularly terrible time, i am super outside the box.

I don't think this is the most frustrating thing, but it's definitely up there: the lack of Emergency Poles. Yes, we have some, but at Baylor, you can never not see 2 of them. Knowing that's not the case here makes me feel that much more unsafe even if I generally feel fairly safe walking around campus by myself. I'd like that peace of mind.

From my own experience, I've had some political issues with a business fraternity and with the chair of the department which my major is in. These are problems with individuals rather than the school as a whole, but these individuals have been able to break the rules of the school because of their positions. Some have not helped me as much as they should or have not fulfilled a promise. Some professors ask for you to write yourself a recommendation letter for them to sign, which is dishonest. There is also a lot of construction making longer walks.

Students are expected to do the majority of the work themselves. This is acceptable for classroom related material, where the professors cover the basics of the class and the students learn the advanced topics on their own time, but is unacceptable when academic advisers or financial aid workers cannot answer your questions or are unmotivated to do their jobs.

The university has made many poor decisions that directly impact the costs imposed on students. UNT built a new and unnecessary football stadium, are building a new student union building, are potentially planning the construction of other newer buildings. This is in light of a recent audit which revealed that the university had been mismanaging budgeting processes for years and owes the state millions of dollars. Despite stating the debt would not impact students, one new policy dictates that credit/debit payment services fees are now the responsibility of the payees. There are likely many more such policies to come.

Administration is trying to focus more on the health sciences though historically it has been a liberal arts college.

Parking is an issue. You'll want to ensure you get a good sticker to park close to your classes.

I am not one to get easily frustrated, but something that does frustrate me is people trying to pass out fliers, trying to get you to do things, or having very large posters to voice their opinions that include pictures that people, regardless of their opinion in the matter, do not want to see. I know I sometimes take the longer way to my classes to avoid some of this encounters.

The rising tuition cost. The parking is limited to only a few spots so if you commute you may have to walk even more to get to your class. The shuttle only goes one way around the school which means it takes a long time to get anywhere.

The most frustrating attribute about my college is their lack of open studio hours for myself and other classmates to work on our homework. Being an interior design student in a prestigious program requires much of our time to be directed on school work, which involves the need of course materials and work space, drafting tables, computers to access software, et cetera. It would be so nice to have full access to these whenever we need them, because they are very expensive to purchase on your own.
