I would tell myself, remember to work hard in math, even though you only need that last .25 credit, the other .75 credits matter! If you fail geometry your GPA will suffer. I would say, don't worry about Kristi and the others, they won't matter after graduation. They'll move on and you'll never see them again. I would say, pay more attention in Goverment! Mr. Comstock is right, you really need to know this information. I would say, worry about college now! For heavens sake talk to the counselers and get help applying to college, work on your GPA, stop ditching school, pay attention in class, forget everyone one that is tearing you down. I know you are suffering, I know you're depressed, I know you think life isn't worth it, but it is! Your baby brother will be born in November, and you will be his best friend, he needs you. You need to be on top of things because waiting six years to go back to school is going to be hard and you'll only feel more like a failure. If you want life to change, you have to change it.

Reflecting on my life now & being able to hold a crystal ball in my senior year, I would certainly have gone to college right out of high school. I have motivation now because I am a mother of two teenagers, recently divorcing. I'm in a very difficult financial & stressful situation in my life. If my mother had pushed me into college instead of getting a job. I gave my own daughters this very same advice with no option not to go to college. No matter what I had to do to get them there& keep them there. Currently I am the only parent who is paying for my oldest daughters college& will be ultimately stuck with mine. IF I could give anybody advice especially myself as a high school senior, I would have applied myself to school & had not given myself the option to not go to college. My life would be so different right now . That is why I will push my daughters to do the right thing& do what's best for them, not what's best for me. However, I am here now & I am going to be somebody when I grow up!!

I would tell myself not to give up and that everytime I did I would have to just start over again. It is not worth it and I should always follow through with my goals. I did not have a lot of support then so I would tell myself that I owe it to myself now to continue to push forward even if I am doing it alone. I am worth it.

Learn as much as you can about student loans. Take them seriously. Make sure you know what you want out of life and make sure you know the degree you really want. Take the time to decide, and don't rush into anything. You have time. Ask more questions, and don't be afraid to go for exactly what you want.

If I could go back in time and tell myself one thing as a high school senior, it would be to follow my heart. I was too concerned with what everyone else would think about me when I chose my major and where I wanted to go. I thought I wanted to be a nurse, but I think I was just expecting more approval from choosing that major, I knew I would be with my friends in college (who were also in nursing), and I wanted to choose a different path from my parents - both in business. Once I started classes in college, I struggled - and I think a big part of this was I wasn't following my passion. I ended up dropping out. Now, I am a mother and stuggling to give my son everything, but University of Phoenix gave me a second chance, and I'm excelling with excellent grades because I'm working towards something I love - Marketing and Advertising.

I would tell myself to go directly to a 4 year university and get you every degree you can before you start your life. I would also tell myself to work toward getting a degree in technology or engineering because these jobs are the wave of the future. I would remind myself to stay focused and make sure my credit score is kept in great standing, so that I am able to do everything I need to do to make a life for myself and my family. Most importantly to be obedient and always keep GOD first in all I do.

I would advise my younger self to not take a break in between graduating high school and going to college. Yes, college may seem to be a lot of work and scary sometimes, but in the end your future and the ones you love's future depend on the steps you will take in order to attend college and achieve your goal in life. There will be times that you may want to give up, but just remember that you are smart and can achieve anything in life. In order to succeed and assure your future is to futher your education so that you may live a fuller and happier life without the struggles.

I would tell my self to choose your friends wisely. Though others may seem interesting, it is best to primarily interact with those who are focused on their education and future career goals. Also, apply for more scholarships and avoid student loans because you will have grey hair before you are done paying them back and they will affect your ability to get credit, mortgage and car loans. Never compromise your integrity to impress others. Ask for help when you dont understand, your professors will appreciate it. Try to form study groups with classmates, they will be able to help you just as much as you can help them; and if you are feeling unreasonably discouraged, sad or depressed, do not be ashamed to speak with your campus counselor. They are there to help you through the process. Remember that your happiness and future are at stake and the decisions you make in the next four years will have a tremendous effect on your future.

If I could tell my old student self something it would be not to have ever quit school. I had alot o complications in my life that lead me away from my education, but after facing different adversities in my life I have climbed my way back to the top of my education path. I would tell myself to continue on in school go to college, and become somebody that respectable and can be depended on to do a great job. I have went from a prison cell to becoming almost top of my class, and thats an accomplihment all in itself.

The advice I would give my high school self would be to figure out different career choices before graduating, research different colleges, and not to worry about the money. I would tell myself that it needs to get done either before I graduate or no more than 6 months after I graduate. Life is short and full of dreams and adventures. It is time to follow my dreams, complete my goals and dreams, and make the most out of life. The world needs a successful me and I need to be successful for the world.
