At the University of Portland, theology and philosophy classes are required as core classes. Also, if you hate rain, you might want to go somewhere else. Schools with large focus on success as a whole person, such as the University of Portland would not accomodate someone who is not willing to stretch themselves out a bit with a diverse range of activities. This school encourages and pushes towards community service as a regular thing as well as being involved with at least a few of the multitude of clubs or groups on campus. Students who are not dediated to thier academic and worldly pursuits will not thrive at this university.
