University of South Florida-Main Campus Top Questions

The University of South Florida is a very unique school. It is located in the heart of Tampa, a very large city, yet when you are on campus, you don't feel like you are in a big city. I love the fact that I felt safe on campus and was able to get to busy city areas in a heartbeat. USF is also super close to beaches (which I love) and allows you to experience the beach as well as the big city life too. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants a fun, memorable college experience.

I chose USF based on its location. I really liked the city of Tampa, and the area surrounding USF.

I believe that our campus pushes students to network. I think that this is wonderful because it makes the students get involved and make new friends.

The fact that it very easy to become accustomed too. Its not too big, and not too small. Everything is only a few minutes away; such as the mall, gas station, grocery store, etc.

There are many off-campus apartments that are walking distance from school and there is a lot of school pride!

The strong drive and desire to volunteer and give back to the Tampa Bay community.

It has a ubran atmosphere

This University has a good career center in which you can drop off a resume and the people that run the center will distribute your resume to comanies that you qualify for. You could be sitting around one day and recieve a call from a company looking to interview you for a position, which is always a nice phone call. I really enjoy the environment. Compared to boston, where I used to live, the air smells fresh and the scenery is beautiful. I enjoy going to campus and staying there to do things that I could otherwise do at home.

The Marshall Center aka the Student Union is very unique. It is brand new, made of glass, and very state-of-the-art. Also, we have our own Botanical Gardens and many buildings dedicated to research. We have a plaza dedicated to Martin Luther King with a statue of his head with two walkways covered with vines and beautiful flowers in the middle of campus. Also, the Engineering, Education, and health fields are very renowned at USF, as well as the athletic department.

The diversity of the student and faculity on campus.

The students are friendly, warm, and welcoming. No one's ever left out or treated like a stranger.

USF is unique compared to other schools becasue of the research program.

Well, the USF Bulls are all proud to be USF Bulls. Everyone here for the most part is nice and doesn't mind having a little conversation with you before class or even helping on some homework that is due that day(I actually just helped a girl this morning with Stat 1 hw, lol). That is probably one of my favorite things about this place, the people. Everyone is diverse, coming from all around, all different backgrounds, yet we all still are able to make friends, learn form one another, and become wiser through one anothers experiences.

My school is unique because the students all come together with school spirit and are a united front.

We have two campuses, both gorgeous. There is a larger or smaller campus, depending on what you like. The school is very friendly, not groupy.

Everyone that is apart of the University is really involved and ready to help out anyone in need just as long as you're a bull. Everyone is committed and there is just a real sense of family in the air always. most other schools were very segregated, but here we are all thought of as equal. thats what i liked about it.
