I fucking hate SAE, Sigma Chi, and Lambda Chi. SAE is a bunch of chest beating Republican wannabe rednecks. They show no respect to anyone but themselves. This includes girls. Sigma Chi is a bunch of pink polo wearing, pop collared momma's boys who are too afraid to venture outside of their country club comfort bubble without being escorted by Jeeves. Lambda Chi is a bunch of chest beating jocks who think they still have a chance of going pro. They think muscles get chicks. All three of these fraternities are ignorantly shielded from the realities of the world. As towards your political leaning question, nobody even knows what it means to be left or right. They don't know what it is to be liberal or conservative. These have unfortunately been delegated to Democrat and Republican, which is simply not true. Athletics are big here, if by athletics you mean football.

Buyer beware! USC's new Campus Center Project could cause major problems for new students for the next two years, especially with the intense construction going on in the heart of campus.

One of my favorite things about the academic side is that you can take a class in almost any area. I'm a fine arts major, but I've taken classes in computer animation (ITP department), intro to programming (Computer Science dept.), motion capture (a grad-level animation class in the cinema school), art direction (cinema production), and advertising (journalism school). They even encourage this crossover, while many colleges discourage it.

I loved my USC experience overall, and I have USC's career fairs to thank for my awesome job post-college.

The party scene is just way too important at USC. If you are not into partying all the time, then this is not the place for you. You will have little to do and trouble making friends, especially your first year. Everything at USC involves alcohol. The political apathy, both for student government and national politics, is disgraceful. No one cares about anything other than partying. The average student tends to be arrogant and will not spare a moment for anything other than athletics or alcohol. Activism is very low and you have to bribe students to participate in anything other than parties.
