I feel as though any kind of person could make their way at the University of St. Thomas. There is a very wide variety of students and a place for them here. As long as they are accepting of others, most others are accepting of them.

Those who don't want to be challenged, driven and motivated, should not pick this school. The individual needs to know they want to achieve acedemic success. Otherwise, they should go somewhere else.

The environment of UST, while extrememly friendly, is a competitive one. I myself strive to be better than other students because there are several classes graded on a curve; the better I do in comparison to my fellow students, the better my grade. While I enjoy the competition, students that thrive in a more relaxed and easy-going environment should consider attending an alternative university -- there is a school for everyone, people just need to do the research.

A person who shouldn't attend this school is a person who is considered to be a slacker. Someon who doesn't care about their education shouldn't come here. They must work hard and care. And they must also be open with their professors who only want what's best for the student.

I think that anyone and everyone should be accpeted at every school. If you are determined to receive a degree and do something great with your life then you are qualified to attend any college.

While choir, music, and theater are loved by many students at UST, they are definitely overshadowed in importance to the university by things like athletics and business. The student body places a huge emphasis on fitness and students are very competitive. Fitting in and having a large group of friends is very important. Also, many students go home on the weekends and the campus can feel a little quiet. The kind of person that wouldn't like this school are people whose main focus is the arts because this school just doesn't put that much focus on them.

If you just want to blend into the crowd and do not want any attention to be given to you, then St. Thomas is probably not the best place for you.
