I think the worst thing I would consider about this school is the parking. There isn't enough.

There were times that I felt the most important information I needed to know for my career came too late in my schooling.

Some of the professors at my school are awful. They can be arrogant and just plain mean. Not all of them are like that by any means, but some of them are pretty bad. I've heard of last minute changes to tests, overly- strict test policies, and other bad situations. For example, I had a professor who refused to hear any opinions but the ones that he had. I once got a low grade on a paper because I disagreed with him. Professors should be encouraging students to be opinionated, not discourage the practice.

The worst thing I believe is that there are, unfortunately, many parties around campus where underage students can drink alcohol. With the pressure that students are under now to succeed and find a job straight out of college sometimes people feel the need to release their stress in this unhealthy manner. It may feel good at the time and you may like drinking, but it is not worth it. Drinking damages your health, your brain functions, and not to mention underage drinking is against the law. Release stress in a way that is safe for you and your peers.

Tutition is quite expensive, but tuition is expensive almost everywhere.

The worst thing would be the lack of diversity. I like to be around others who don't always look like or think like me. It's hard to find that here.

While much of the faculty is more than willing to help, there are some professors who seem to be more interested in breaking students than helping them; be prepared to work hard and efficiently if you wish to receive high grades in certain classes.

I have only been at UWO for one year and so far I haven't found anything that I don't like.

Oshkosh can feel a little geographically isolated: it is not really close to anywhere. Other than that, there are no real downsides to UW-Oshkosh.

Most of the food vendors outside of the memorial union close early in the day and most academic and support office close by 4:30 pm.

The worst thing someone could do would not be outgoing and get to know other students fast in the beginning of the year because everyone is friendly and not knowing new people could be hard to make it through the year.

The worst thing at school is the food. There are healthy options, but there is an overwhelming amount of unhealthy food and always being on the go as a college student, it's very difficult to put together a decent meal that isn't high in fat or sodium. That being said, the quality of the healthy food they do have is terrible. It seems like they round up the bruised or damaged produce from the grocery store and sell it to us at the university. I am pretty disappointed with the food here to say the least.

Some of the classes I need are not being offered at convenient times for me.

When you are a student who does not live on campus and is taking courses online, you miss a lot of the benefits. Being able to put your books on your student account so financial aid can cover it is one of them. Also, the need for various materials is harder to obtain. If their online server goes out (this has happened) this becomes a real problem for online students.

I think the worst thing about UW Oshkosh is the amount of garbage left in our college dorms. Our stairs are littered with food and garbage that nobody feels the need to pick up or throw away. Most of this garbage is present on weekends, which is the result of excessive drinking. There seems to be piles of garbage in the corners of the staircases that visitors to the campus look at with disgust.

There really isn't anything that is bad at my school besides when the snow melts it leaves a bad smell but other than that I can't really say there is a bad thing about my schoool.

The cold! Love the school but it would be really nice if it was not so cold outside. It is nothing that the school can control though so you can not hold it against them. If you want to come here, just make sure you bundle up.

The one thing I dislike the most about the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is it's reputation. Some people believe that UW Oshkosh is a school that people go to in order to slack off and party. This is not the truth about UW Oshkosh at all. This school is full of amazing people with big aspirations who are willing to work hard to acheive their goals. UW Oshkosh has presented me with so many opportunities and I believe that the postives of the University should be celebrated.

To get a BS in any science department you must complete different science courses. It is almost impossible to graduate in four years because of five credit introductory courses overlapping time slots. Scheduling is a nightmare.

The worst thing about my school would have to be the fact that it is so far away from my home. It is about a two and a half hour drive away from my small home town. It means I do not get to go home as much as possible, but that also means that I stay at school more and get to experience new activities.
