The best thing about my school is the size! Size does matter! Going to a smaller school in a smaller community is when you become a name, not a number. Individual attention is greater, and you feel like there are councilers and teachers who get to know you and help you. And when you get to know your students on a personal level, it helps you plan lessons and create assignments.

I consider the best thing about my school, to be the teachers, as cliche as that sounds. Not only is there diversity within the students and classes to take, but also the teachers and teaching styles. Some classes I have really feel like college. Where the professors don't know your name and there are roughly at least 60 students. That makes it easy for me to do my own thing and at my own pace. Other classes consist of 20-30 students and you create a special bond between the teacher and student, which makes you extremely motivated.

The small class sizes offer individual help many larger instututions cannot, and faculty members are easily accessible . In addition, there are tutorial services offered free of charge to students requiring assistance in major subjects. Despite being a smaller campus, UW-Whitewater does provide considerable extracurricular activities that facilitate socialization. Equally important is the fact that tuition costs are more affordable at UW-Whitewater than many other Wisconsin-based colleges.
