Valencia College Top Questions

The only thing I can complain about is the parking. Sometimes it's hard to find a parking spot, but if you get to campus a half hour before class, you shouldn't have a problem. This is not too much of a complaint, because parking is free.

The worst thing about my school is how much is has grown in the past couple of years. The growth isn't in itself a bad thing, but it sure makes finding parking harder.

One thing I dislike at Valencia Community College is the way lab classes are set up. For many other schools, a class is taught and the lab is standardized in order to make the schedule more flexible for the students. At Valencia, if a student were to select a teacher, the student must attend the teacher's specific lab. This may seem silly, but when juggling three or four lab-classes it gets very complex trying integrate each classes's schedule.

The absolute most worst thing about my school are the long lines when having to register for a new semester. Other than that its your typical college!

I believe is the smell around the campus. It is not very pleasant to walk around the campus and be smelling ackward smells.

The worst thing about my school is the fact that they don't have my major. I'm taking the prerequisites to get into a program at a University. My school has many majors relating to Social Work. But there is still no Social Work.

The worst thing I would consider about my school is the food. Even though the food are good, but it's the part that everytime I eat there I have to use the bathroom. It's not just me, it's the same with everyone.

The thing that I consider the worst about my school is that it seems as though communication between the school and students is not very strong. Sometimes it seems like the school emails students about upcoming events or deadlines only a day or two before they come up. This makes it very difficult as a student to schedule these things in so that you are prepared for them.

I consider the worst thing about my school is that there are students there who do not care what they do. Its a Community College, no one expects Community College students to do anything with thier lives. I know that is kind of sad, but that is the mind set of many employers. If you had a student who completed two years of Community College then went on to a University, then had a student who went to a private college all four years, who do you think they will pick? Bingo! I'll go with the private college student.

The people that are supposed to help you out are not easily accesible to help and dont always know how to help.

The limited capacity of spaces for new students in the specialized programs. It would be nice if there was not a wait time to start the program.

The worst thing about Valencia is making sure that you get the help you need from advisors in what classes you should take and the requirements you need.
