Describe the students at Villanova University.

Bernadette

Villanova gets the nickname "Vanilla-nova" based on its primarily white student body, but things are changing. We have active cultural societies and students from all over the world. I wouldn't say all the students are financially well-off and right-winged, but that's probably where 60-70{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the population lies. But I'd say both sides are well-represented and our school is politically aware. Hell, we had both Michelle Obama and (will be having) John McCain visit this year!!

Adam

The student body at Villanova is mainly Caucasian with its fair share of African Americans, Asians, and Indians. Although this school is Catholic is does not impose on those of different religions. I feel like all sorts of people are here at Villanova. There is not one person that will come to Villanova and find no one else like them. There are also many things to do around campus that would give every student something to do. Most students come from the Northeast from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.

Caroline

Being a student-athelete, sometimes I feel I am shrugged off as just being someone that was accepted to Villanova just because of my athletic ability. I think students and professors alike are often surprised by how hard student athletes work, and that they can maintain grades similar to those of the average student.

Colleen

rich

Many of the students are from the northeast of the country, but there are students from all over. Most kids are wealthy, but I do know a lot of people here on scholarship. I think kids are politically aware, especially since this is the first election most of us can vote in.

Allison

There is a small minority of nonwhite kids here, most kids are richer, yes different types of students do interact through the community serivce, most kids from NJ or PA, not politically active

Ryan

Hot girls and nice people.

Devin

Very diverse, anyone can find a group of friends like them.

Rob

Villanova is a catholic university but it does not shove anything down your throat. But you do have to take christian theology classes.

Jessica

Although there is not a lot of diversity, all groups are tolerated well and their events are well-attended. A really independent and artistic student might feel out of place because of the type of kids that go to school here. Wear to class: jeans, uggs/flip flops, polos or t shirts, sweatshirts Most students are from the northeast (ny, nj, md, pa, ct)
